View Full Version : Give me a reason to watch this episode

I am very seriously considering ignoring it completely, having read the reactions so far. I was wondering, even through all the bad reactions if people can see a reason for me to watch it.

Or do you think i should go with my instinct and simply make up my own ending, in which Clark tells Lana he doesn't think they should be together because they have grown into different people, and he has feelings for someone else.

Help, i can't decide!

Its a pathetic conclusion to a pathetic unhealthy relationship. You get to see yet another reason why 'clana' cant be together..as if we needed another:lol:

You realize their relationship was only physical, as not being able to 'touch' eachother is their ultimate demise. (the opposite of a the love story in pushing daises). Clark wouldnt bother thinking of ideas for them to still be together (e.g. a lead suit)..in ONE episode.lol

Also, you get to realize what Saturn girl meant by Lana being one of the reasons becomes Superman..which basically is that without her bad vibe, he becomes a better man and goes on to be stronger, smarter and marry a better match.

The bonus is you get a great feeling knowing Lana will be gone for good and Clark for all his silly crying will pretty soon forget about her and eye another woman (even after Lana's dodgy 'sacrifice').mwahaahaha

Did I forget its a pathetic ending to a pathetic 'love' story.

Why? The result is exactly what you want ie Clana is gone even if execution is not the "kick to the curb" for Lana you hoped for.

In the end you win ie Lana is green toast while for the Clana fans all they have is DVDs of past episodes, no more Clark/Lana Daily Planet kisses, or loft star crossed lovers scenes etc.

Lana is gone so just enjoy it.

All the best.

Aye. They ended it better with that corny video last year. Should have left it where it was, there was no need for this waste of 2 episodes, no need at all:\

i am asking if there is any reason other than clana to watch the episode... and you are incapable of giving me a reason to watch if i don't adore clana/lana?

well i will still have the wonderful knowledge that Lana is gone, whether or not i watch the episode or not. i'm more worried about the detrimental affects the plot has on Clark's character. i think badly enough of Smallville Clark already... i think if he falls any further in my eyes i won't be able to stomach anything Smallville presents in terms of heroics

again, i have to say, it's not just about Clana. i'm afraid it will be badly written, portray my hero negatively and have also heard bad things in terms of Lex, Oliver AND chloe, which put me off

I do love Ollie... hmm maybe i should watch... i heard something about him being shirtless

Oliver was great in this episode one of his best yet but the reason to watch it is to see Lana leave :) :rotfl:

Take my advice, don't bother watching it unless you want to be able to post about it. It was an embarrassment. I never cringed so much in one episode. I really feel bad for Tom Welling this morning and hope this doesn't somehow adversely affect his career.

As far as I'm concerned I'm going to ignore this entire arc and pretend it never happend, because this was such an injustice to the Superman lore.

Don't do it. You will just be disappointed unless you are a Lana fan. Just pretend that there were no new episodes since November. Okay, so Legion was pretty good, but not good enough to watch the whole Lana arc this season.

If I had to do it over, I'd skip over it. And don't worry, I'm sure the writers are going to as well.

As for a reason to watch....ah, Tom Welling is hot? So is Justin Hartley? Thats all I got. :\

I wouldn't watch it, unless you found some video on youtube that had only the Oliver scenes in it. Shirtless Ollie was the best thing about this episode! ;) Everything else...well lets just say ignorance is bliss.

Hopefulsuicide, I'd suggest you skim through it at least. Why?

*Kristin Kreuk delivers a fantastic performance.
*The Toyman is an excellent villain.
*There are some very interesting developments between Oliver and Chloe.
*Love it or hate it, the final end to Clana is a landmark for the series. It's been eight seasons, after all.

See, I was happy with the way she left last season. So these episodes had no meaning whatsoever and I will ignore that they occurred.

i was one of the biggest campaigners against agless... now i would quite happily watch the episode... over this arc at least

----- Added 3 Minutes later -----

three reasons
1. lex
2. toyman
3. oliver and chloe

that sums up the three reasons i'm glad i watched requiem... can anyone gimmie a reason to have watched power?

i mean when i watched that i had no idea... by the time it was over it was too late... but for people in my country i think you should warn them, and i will pass it on...

why avoid POWER? or the rest of this arc?

I personally think Kristin's last scene was the highlight of the episode. But seeing as how you already watched it that means nothing.
I also must say this send off was stupid and they should have stuck with the video one from last year. That was fantastic compared to this pile of crap.
Avoid Power for one reason SuperLana, and Lana becomes a stronger person only so she can once again become a weak little girl clinging to Clark.

hey, HopefulSuicide, i didn't want to watch it either. but i eventually gave in and did. my reasons being:

1. i've been a fan for quite some time now, and i've never missed an episode. i've never let one sour episode ruin my liking of the show forever.

2. there's so much about this show to love, IMO. feel free to disagree with me, i don't care.

3. clana is over.

4. ok, i don't have very many reasons, but anyone who wants to can back me up. :\

hope this changes your mind and gives you some insight.

now Power on the other hand...i'm stuck. it just sucked!!
