So, we hoped to see a changed and more mature Clark in Requiem...we wanted him to step up and verbalize his changed feelings for Lana. That never happened. But maybe he did something more. On DP rooftop, Clark Kent told Lana, without any esitation, to go and save the city, sacrificing their love. So, I think we're closer to Superman, now. What do you thing about that?

I like that idea. But I would have liked it even more if Clark had tried to dismantle the bomb himself first... He braved the kryptonite to kiss her... he could have braved it to try and get rid of the bomb.

i agree with you...he gave up the only thing he has EVER actually been passionate about without a seconds hesitation...he just had to deal with the ramifications of his decision after the fact...pretty Superman-ish if you ask me...oh you did ask!

Clark decided alright, but AFTER the whole SuperLana fiasco. If Lana was normal, I doubt he would wanna be away from her. *sigh* It's Clark the BDA anyways.

Yeah, Clark totally gave up his own feelings for the greater good of others. And that's a massive deal when it comes to Lana. Totally a Superman trait. Reading all these posts is making the accepting of the past 4 episodes easier. You all got good thoughts out there!

I liked that Clark made the decision for her to absorb the kryptonite and thus force their separation, "for the greater good"... but at the end, it took him being weakened to let her walk away like she wanted.

He gave Lana up on the DP roof, but he couldn't let her go at the end; until it was proven by their kiss at the end that it would just never work while she's a walking krypto-battery.

The whole "goodbye" could have been handled so much better by Clark, IMO.

Superman is only close when Lois is around him. The problem is he did not get over Lana, not once he missed Lois. He was left pining for Lana, on his knees. He needs to do a LOT to be worthy of Lois' love now, cause kryptonite loaded girl has left a lot of damage. Poor Lois, who's gonna have to clean that HUGE MESS now .

the "I'll always love you and do everytingh for us to be together" crap was stupid, IMO. I just liked Clark's determination and the look on his face during that scene. I think when he said "You should do it" (or something) she was a little bit reluctant, hesitant. But he was convinced it was the only thing left to do.
