Well here is fic number 2 for me... for now...
I want to say first that this story will not be on any updating schedule. Some might come rapidly while other will be slower. I don't think it will be that long of a story either.
The Idea behind this imposed itself to me during my lunch break at work today and I felt obligated to write it.
Also I want to say that no offense about anything in this. I chose Korea because I seem to remember they had some nuclear department there.
A word of warning... it is sad for now... and it might get better later...
Enjoy!!!

Breaking News!
Today is probably the saddest day in Earth's recent History as the Mightiest of the Mighty, the Man of Steel himself, has fallen.
Reports came in during the night of a terrorist attack that was launched in an attempt to seized control of both Korea nuclear development technology and facilities.
Some witnesses saw Superman flying to the scene of the biggest facility when the main reactor exploded completely destroying the buildings and flattening the land for miles around its center. There weren't any survivors and the only hint that there ever was someone nearby was Superman's red cape, lying in tatters on the ground and covered in blood.
So I sit here this morning writing through my tears and I ask my fellow citizens of Earth and I urge even more the people of Metropolis to observe a minute of silence and pray to whoever is out there for our Hero's soul.
By Lois Lane
They will be millions to read those words on this cruelly sunny morning of April. Millions would read and shed tears for the loss of their beacon of light.
For one man though, it is the absolute opposite. Lex Luthor stands in his office at the top of Lexcorp Tower and looks over Metropolis with a smile that goes from ear to ear. 'Finally that damn alien is finally gone!' Unable to stop his joy, Lex breaks out into a fit of laughter.
For a small woman, in a small country town in the Midwest of the United-States, the news is devastating. After reading the article's closing, Lana falls to her knees in a bawling mess.
For an old lady, sitting behind her desk in the nation's Capital city, the news was filling her of the deepest sadness and the purest of rage at the loss of her son. What saddened her most was the fact that she had just seen the boy, no more than two days ago and he was sporting his brightest smile she had ever seen gracing him while he told her of his plans for the future. Looking at her planning for the day and then at the copy of the Daily Planet, President Martha Kent decided it was time she addressed the nation and decree that this day would be forever remembered as the passing of a great Hero.
Picking up the phone, she thought about how to bring everything she was planning into action. As soon as her secretary answers, Martha starts exposing her requests.
"Yes Sally I want you to call up a press conference for noon today. I want to address the nation in regards to the disappearance of our hero. I want you also to call in the head of my secret services. I want them to come here now. I need them to do a special mission. Last thing I want you to call Miss Lana Lang in Smallville, Kansas. I need to speak to her immediately."
"I'm on it immediately Mrs. President."
"Thank you Sally." Martha slowly finishes and hangs up the phone to wait for the call to Lana to be made. 'I can't even imagine how she feels right now. I am a mess and I haven't been as close to Clark these past couple years. She on the other hand...' Her thoughts are interrupted by her phone ringing.
"Yes Sally?"
"I have Lana Lang on the line as requested Ma'am."
"Thanks put her through."
"Alright one second."
After about 15 seconds Lana's voice comes on the line. "Hi Mrs. Kent." She sadly says.
"Oh sweetie. How are you holding up?"
"Not too good."
"Sweetie do you want to come stay with me at the White House for a while?"
"Thanks for the offer but I can't. I need to go there and try to find out what really happened to him because I just can't believe he is gone. Not him." As Lana says this her determination grows as to her next move, but at the same time she can feel another bout of crying as well.
"Lana I can send my people to look for that. That way you wouldn't need to put yourself in danger."
"No Mrs Kent. I have to go there. At least I know who he is. Remember he may be hiding somewhere under some disguise."
"You're right Lana, but please at least allow me to dispatch some men with you to help you. Even if it is just to take care of your luggage, I would feel better knowing that you aren't alone over there. I already lost my son, I don't want to lose my daughter."
"Alright you win. I will fly from Metropolis to Washington DC to meet you first and then I will leave for Korea." She sighs in resignation.
Both women know just how headstrong and stubborn the other is and since the situation pleases neither one of them they both decide to make compromises with each other.
"Ok Lana, talk to Sally and see that she books a flight for you to come here. I will be waiting for your visit."
"Thanks Mrs Kent."
And with that things were put in motion. Events have started unraveling themselves and destinies have begun their convergence.
