I don't even ship Clana or Lana, but WOW. She brought game.

Kristin crying had me crying! I never cried in any SV ep before.
She made that scene so real and powerful and sad!!
It was the saddest scene in SV history.
Kristin was amazing!! What a sendoff!!

Incredible scene for Kristin. She did SUCH a spectacular job and was totally believable. It was as heartbreaking as scenes come, and was a very Romeo & Juliet way of ending the Clana romance without killing off the two major characters. She rocked the house! (And that's coming from a guy who pretty much hated the episode as a whole).

It just felt fake.... Sorry... Her best scene was when she "died"...
I'm sorry guys, but I just really don't like her.
That scene totally had me in tears. Kristin was so great on how she played that. She always brings a lot to the table, but on emotional scenes she just excels. Her facial features throughout the scene just captivated Lana's turmoil over the decision to leave Clark and Smallville. I really will miss seeing her and the always entertaining clana/chlana scenes. Though I am grateful for the amazing departure the writers gave her. I loved the mention of the graveyard scene. It was cool how in the pilot the first clana scene Clark falls to his knees from her necklace, then in the last scene they share she brings him down from all the kryptonite in her entire system. It really was a beatiful farewell. Kudos to Tom and Kristin for bringing their A game on that one.

Yes, it was even greater than her "Maybe it's me that needs to start believing in you" scene from Accelerate.
It was miles above any other Lana scene. Kristin was great in it, but Tom was amazing. But it was the writing that made that scene one of the best and unforgettable scenes in Smallville history.
Most people would say it was the actors, or their chemistry. But this time I really have to give it to the writers. They wrote a fantastic scene that both Tom and Kristin played out perfectly.
This is EXACTLY what I was talking about in the "As we say goodbye to Kristin" thread.

I thought this was one of the best emotional scenes I have ever seen on Smallville and on CW shows in general. I would have to rate it second bst to some of the Chuck and Blair scenes from Gossip Girl.
But honestly Kristin and Tom were both amazing in this scene.

I actually thought her angered Lex scenes were better. But her acting was great in this even though I didn't care for the context. TW was very good as well.

I cried in the last scene. I cried twice on smallville. When i saw Hidden and Reckoning. This is the 3th time and oh well. When Clark wanted to be with lana and then kissed her... and when she runs away bc she dont want too hurt him... one of the best if not the best Clana scene in SV ever.

02-06-2009, 09:07 AM
Speaking as someone who doesn't like Clana and rather violently hated this episode, I have to agree. This scene was very emotional and superbly acted and written. The way Lana was crying as she said "Goodbye Clark" and walked out of the loft was realistically and beautifully done. I can't remember feeling quite so impressed by a scene since Whitney's father's funeral in season one.

Great job Kristin and Tom!

I don't know. I wish there was an "undecided" option. It wasn't a terrible scene but yet I wouldn't classify it as the best ever. I'd have to see some other scenes of hers in the past and compare. Not that I'd waste my time doing that, but just rationally speaking. Lol.

No; the whole ep was pathetic becasue it let Lana off the hook for the horrible things she's done and the awful way she has treated people around her, including and especially Clark over the years. Lana has always been Clark's kryptonite in SV. And I voted that this was KK's best acted episode. I don't particularly like their relationship or her reappearance this season but I have to hand it to her, the ending last night was really well-acted by KK.

I could watch this episode over and over and over and over and over again without getting bored! Kristin Kreuk is a very talented actress and this scene is most probably on of her best on the series. She had some pretty good scenes in Season 5 and 6 as well imo. A deleted scene of Phantom, featuring Lana and Lionel was very good too imo!
Lana will always be in my heart <3 Kudos to Kristin for making Lana such an amazing character on the show!

KK did an absolutely AMAZING job, but the nature of this scene is too sad to enjoy her performance. So in other happier scenes she does an *equally* good job acting, but because they are happier scenes they are a little better. But her acting WAS top notch!! BRAVO!

Agreed. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE scene of Smallville with TW's emotion has got to be the end scene from Vengeance.... When Martha's watching a tape of JK and Clark cries for the first time after his dad died... NOW that was grade A acting.... the end scene in Requiem, not so much... I didn't even think he was really in pain when he was kissing her, like he should have been because he was being infected by Kryptonite through the mouth.... For those who don't remember the season 5 scene, here it is:

KK did an amazin job, and it truly was an emotional scene - a fitting emotional scene for her last Smallville moment...but there too much to hate.
I hated how she spoke as if she was also destined to have superpowers and save the world, and we have a Clark completely distraught and unheroic.
Krypto_marcus
02-10-2009, 12:21 AM
Yeah, it was her best scene in Smallville ever, I agree with Dragonpryde I found it really annoying how she spoke about her "destiny", save the world and blah blah... sorry Lana but that doesn't fit you.
I can't come up with another great scene with Lana so I'll have to vote YES on this one.

I guess Kristen was pretty emotional about leaving the series for good, so she would have channelled the emotions into her scenes. In the last scene, both Tom and Kristen acted their heart out so kudos to them for putting in one of the best performance I've seen for a long time on TV.

Have to agree I've never been a fan of clana, but this last scene i can say I'm actually going to miss KK as an actress in Smallville. And yeah i was in tears 2, That kiss at the end was powerful and REALLY shows Clark progression in this season that he is infact becoming emotionally stronger.
Farewell to Kristen Kreuk (y) Thank you for an emotionally energetic experience right out of my TV screen.

This last scene for Kristin was indeed the best emotional scene performed by her and Tom together. Very believable and brought tears to many viewers. I hardly ever cry at sad or happy scenes but this had the tears flowing...One of her other emotional scenes brought to mind that was well done by her was when she first found out she lost her baby (fake pregnancy by Lex) which was heart wrenching.

KK had lot's of amazing scenes. The one that sticks out for me is "CRIMSON" after Clark kidnapped her and then kissed her in the loft.
She looked so torn in that scene with tears welling in her eyes as she said to Clark: "You don't love me Clark, you just can't stand the idea that I love someone else".
I loved her emotion in that scene it was so believable.

The Most Natural portrayal i`ve ever seen on this show.

The Lana arc may have been shall we say 'misguided' lol but this was my fav Clana scene ever, KK and TW knocked it out the park and it's the first time I actually believed the couple, pity it was the last.

I must say, KK has stepped up to the plate on these last 5 episodes. She did an outstanding performance. Her last scene with TW in the barn, had me crying.
By comparing her to all her other work in film. She has a talent for dramatic roles.
I saw Partition and she did a great job on her acting.
In the episodes that she played as Hannah in Chuck, I did not like (a little) her performance. She seemed a little awkward.
Maybe, she was nervous or something.

UM.....i think all the characters have done something to each other over the years..
Chloe worked for Lionel to investigate Clark...that is "betrayal"
Lex investigated lied, manipulated Clark..wow i could go on an on
Lana investigated Clark, tricked Chloe by locking her in a wine cellar, kept Lex at arms length
Lionel would have fried Lexs brain (Clark saved him), lied manipulated, killed
Clark kept Lana on a emotional roller coaster, lied over and over to everyone, robbed a bank, stole a car,
These are a few things...Lana isnt the only one whose hurt her "friends"...they all have things that they have done to each other
