Best 14th Episode of the Series?

Season 1; Zero - Jude Royce a man from Lex's shady past comes to Smallville, stalking Lex and accusing him of being responsible for a shooting at Club Zero in Metropolis three years ago.


Season 2; Rush - During a rave in the caves a student dies from heightened adrenaline. Pete becomes infected with the same parasite and becomes just as reckless. Chloe also becomes infected. In a way to keep Clark on their side, Pete slips him a rock of RedK.

Season 3; Obssession - Our introduction to Alicia Baker, a student who can teleport. She saves Clark from having his powers discovered when he saves her from a crashing lift. They begin to date, but she obviously becomes obssessed and is not all she seems.

Season 4; Krypto - Our first introduction to Shelby. I say no more.

Season 5; Tomb - Chloe sees the ghost of a girl and tries to be heard for it, though everyone assumes she has gone insane. It is revealed that her mother is in mental institution. Lana cries. Chloe becomes obssessed by the girls spirit, bent on revenge on the man that murdered her.

Season 6; Trespass - Some stalker takes a picture of Lana holding the piece of shrapnal that Lex attempted to stab Clark with. Lex leaves her in Metropolis alone. She hides out everywhere, including Clarks bedroom, only for the stalker to keep finding her. Whereas Clark discovers that Lana has been spying on him.

Season 7; Traveler - Clark is kidnapped and kept in a Kryptonite Cage, Lex is suspected but it turns out to be Lionel, though his intentions are good. Lana and Chloe race to save him, by releasing Kara from Lex's power at the Luthor mansion and taking her to the FOS to get her memories back.

Season 8; Requiem - Blast at a Luthorcorp meeting. Toyman. Clark and Lana. Lana's last episode. And what appears to be a strange Lex.

"Requiem" was pretty good.
So, "Obsession", "Krypto" and "Requiem" are tied.

I definitely had to pick Traveler. It was so well-paced, with lots of twists and turns, great acting and character moments from all the major players... I have nothing but good things to say about it.

There are several other really good ones on that list. Zero was a neat, rather dark, mystery for the first Season -- it helped to break up all those FOTW episodes that we had back then. Rush was fun and quirky, what with the parasite, RedK, and Clark, Chloe, and Pete without their inhibitions. Krypto was cool mainly because it introduced Shelby, and you're right, you can't say much else about it.

The others? Tomb was WAY dark for me (even if it was Chloe-centric). Trespass was also pretty dark, but at least kept me guessing. It had some nice Clark/Lana moments. Obsession had Alicia, who was a fan favorite, but that didn't make it my favorite episode by any means. The only episode I really enjoyed that had her in it was Pariah (and not because she died in it -- it was just the only one where I liked how Alicia was portrayed).

Requiem? Bottom of the list.

How is Zero so low?!!!! It's a fantastic, lexcentric episode. And Tomb! Blech... I don't see how which characters are in an episode affect how much people like them! Writing Quality, story development! AHHHH...
As soon as I Say this however, Shelby is an exception, and the fact that Krypto is number 1 is awesome. Because that episode is godawful, but damn that dog is cute. The Shelby video made me crack up.

This one is tough. I really like "Obsession," but "Rush" was the second episode of Smallville I ever saw - and for that it will always hold a special place in my heart. I thought "Requiem" was a good episode, and "Traveler" was good as well.

I'm going to have to sleep on this one.

Let's see Clark gets stuck in a cage and needs 3 girls to save him. Yeah wonderful episode. :P

While the Lionel Stuff in it was wonderful I think this might have been one of the worst episodes ever for Clark Kent's character. Beyond the needing to be saved, it should have been Clark who helped Kara get over her amnesia, another let's screw the character of Clark Kent over moment.

Just looking at that list, 3 of my 10 most hated episodes are #14. Amazingly Requiem(#5) not even the worst of the bunch(that honor goes to Tresspass(#4)). Traveler bottoms out at #9 on my list

And all the rest I didn't really enjoy. I don't see how so many can like Krypto so much. I love dogs, but... it was a pretty ridiculous episode.

Tomb is actually my least favorite episode of all time. Traveler is by far the best 14th episode so far. Obsession, Rush and Trespass are close seconds. I hate Requiem out of principle, since I am super-pissed that Lana didn't die or at least lose her powers. Krypto was funny, but it wasn't a very good episode in my opinion. Zero wasn't my favorite episode, but it was a cool insight into Lex's past.
