The only thing most fans always asked was for a decent closure for Lana and Clark, making them end the shows as friends, as they should be. Because, after all, Superman is supposed to be about hope, not despair, and endless cheapless drama.

But, instead of giving us the only natural and deserving end for this relationship, we were submitted, once again, to something that the writers themselves know it is not true: Clark and Lana as star-crossed lovers. :rolleyes: The worst part of it, is that it goes against the show canon, that more than once made clear that Clark and Lana ARE NOT soulmates, and they are not meant to be together.

However, even if they were, according to show canon, meant to be together, soulmates, or had so deep a connection that the mere sound of the other voice is able to take them away from aliens induced love spells, this plot would still be the worst I have ever seen. You want to write them as poor tragic lovers? Then at least do it right! :( UGH!

It was very sad but I am not completely disappointed, it's kinda ironic that she ends up being his kryptonite, she was always his weakness. I do like a lot that he was the first one to make the decision that she had to destroy the bomb, she looked at him for guidance, and he said you have to do it, he knew the consequences so he chose to save the people. Kristin and Tom did also some real good acting, I was sad and felt their pain, and I am glad Toyman is still free, leaves place for more stories with him. ALso, I really liked that Oliver brought Sebastian up to Chloe and we got to see her reaction and what she had to say...I liked it overall

The only thing most fans always asked was for a decent closure for Lana and Clark, making them end the shows as friends, as they should be. Because, after all, Superman is supposed to be about hope, not despair, and endless cheapless drama.

But, instead of giving us the only natural and deserving end for this relationship, we were submitted, once again, to something that the writers themselves know it is not true: Clark and Lana as star-crossed lovers. :rolleyes: The worst part of it, is that it goes against the show canon, that more than once made clear that Clark and Lana ARE NOT soulmates, and they are not meant to be together.

However, even if they were, according to show canon, meant to be together, soulmates, or had so deep a connection that the mere sound of the other voice is able to take them away from aliens induced love spells, this plot would still be the worst I have ever seen. You want to write them as poor tragic lovers? Then at least do it right! :( UGH!

Whatever, once smallville ends a lot of their BS story twisting will be forgotten and the legend of Superman will remain. This show is definitely not about superman and now I know why! Its not even a good pre superman story. :rolleyes:

I sort of saw this ending coming, but what was sad, not in a weepy way, but in a pathetic way, was Clark at the end, stumbling and making-out with Lana despite his body being exposed to inordinate amounts of Kryptonite.

What I would find interesting is if somehow Lana's kryptonite levels became reduced, and she came back in the series finale, only to see that Clark had indeed moved on, and despite no kryptonite, did not wish to be with her anymore.

This episode was B.S., and it really could've been one of the best with the Toyman angle and Lex back pulling the strings. But just like I feared, it was completely overshadowed by the Lana bull crap. I am utterly dissapointed and PS3 have completely screwed Superman.

I know the argument is that "oh, this is just another retelling of the Superman story and things can be changed. . ." but this is WAY too much change. They have screwed Superman, Lois, and are well on their way to screwing Oliver too. They've turned him into a killer and blackmailing Chloe. Complete B.S., but it is all over now and we can get back to what Smallville was before PS3 screwed it with this Clana B.S.
