I gave it a 9. It was slow start, but they had to build up the story a bit since it was a new chapter. I did like the cliff hanger for the episode and it does leave me wondering....

9/10 Thought it was a pretty decent start to the chapter but it was a bit slow in the beginning. Be interesting to see how they build off of this. And Sylar is back in a big way so that was a nice bit too :)

So much going on, the Sylar scene alone was worth the entire episode :D

That was a pretty BA episode. Though I don't understand why Peter had to struggle. He can fly. Theoretically he could become superman if he inherits the correct powers. THIS SEASON IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!!

Great start to a new season, the end was dramatic, but your left thinking, "Peter, can't you fly?" Sylar was kick-ass like hell, seriously, they thought they would capture Sylar that easily, amatures. I will now forever hate Nathan and all his plots, HRG is back in the same loop it seems. Will need to see how it plays out next week on "Lost"... umm I mean "Heroes".

I enjoyed it. LOVED the Sylar, of course. The scene where he took down those bullies was great.

The ending saved it for me. I was kinda "ho-hum" on most of it until the plane scene and the crash.

When they were trying to subdue Sylar, I was thinking, "Yeah ... right ... Puny humans are not gonna take down Sylar"

IT would seem that peter can only absorb one power at a time now. After he picked up the freeze hands, it seemed he lost Mohinder's strength, cause he was getting pounded by the ninja... and I would assume he lost the flight also. But if he picked up mohinder's strength again in that sweet little hand hold at the end, maybe that is how he survives the crash..?

I like the new angle though, the whole Nathan-against-supers somewhat counter acts the whole Peter-against-world-destruction... that was getting kinda old.

I thought the start was a bit tooo slow. I gave it a 7.
Exposition is great, but for a show that's trying to save itself I thought it was dragging for way too long.

I missed Heroes. I gave this episode a 9. Liked Ando being the super hero and Hiro being his watch tower. The Andocycle was a nice touch. Not sure how Sylar survived. But as usual liked him. Nathan is a great villian. Mohinder is back to his normal self. I thought he had lost all his lizard powers though.

I liked it.... I liked that it was more clear who the good guys are and who the bad guys are, and that last sequence on the plane was fantastic. Let's hope this doesn't get convoluted as Volume Three eventually became.

I stopped caring. I don't know if they can win me back. I stopped watching before the final episode to the last volume. It just seems they can't recapture what the first season did so well. Making Nathan a villain certainly isn't helping. He was one of my favorite heroes. Not the favorite but in the top 5 probably. The guy saved NYC from the exploding Peter in season 1 and talked Peter into destroying the virus in season 2 or did the writers forget. Smallville at least had 5 pretty good seasons before it started to suck. Heroes only had one great season and then one just ok season before it went down hill. That's gotta be a record. Now maybe this new volume will be everything they are promising it to be. I don't know. But I'm going to to wait until a few episodes into it and if everyone is raving about how good it is then maybe I'll come back. They have to earn my faith in them again.

The episode was very mediocre, 6 maybe 7 at best. There are still obvious issues with a lot of the character's personalities.

Chapter 4; and yet another new direction. Seems to me that the producers / writers cannot make up their minds where they want the show to go. Have to say i've lost all my enthusiasm for this show. Stupid heroes who never learn, plot lines that have holes bigger than the hole in the ozone, genius villains with enough powers that no one should be able to take them out, I know i'm probably the lone voice, but I think Ill go watch The 4400, at least the storyline didn't jump around every other episode.

2/10 at best.

New volume. Love the new direction. This arc seems to have alot of potential. Glad to see Peter has his power back. Sylar was BA as always.

BTW, that was an interesting development giving Mohinder super-strength without the reptilian qualities. Not sure if I buy it, but I like it. I think it's fair to let Mohinder play with the big boys from now on.

FINALLY! a good episode! :) This is the first time in a LONG time that I really enjoyed a heroes episode. It kept me on my toes and it ended with a classic cliffhanger. Simply beautiful. I hope this is a sign of good things to come in Volume 4. Because more than once I thought about just giving up on the show. Season 1 was ridiculously good but after that it just seemed to be dragging on. And I was beginning to think that it would never get back to its former glory. But now it seems possible again. Let's see what happens.

I gave it a 10 (in other words, "It was Clear" lol funny stuff Jeff). Love the new direction/plotline and glad they're not going nuts with time travel and other convolutions. That said, I found Matt now having the painting power a bit stupid/lame. I don't get what the show's obsession with someone having that power is...do we ALWAYS have to get glimpses of the future? Can't we have one volume where everything that happens, just happens?

I don't really buy Nathan being as "evil" as he seems to be (obviously it's more a grey thing) but whatever I guess. Ironically, Nathan seems to be following a similar path that "Sythan" (Sylar as Nathan) did in that Season 1 alternate future ep... Sylar also rounded up mutants in that future...strange (coincidence or something more?). Perhaps in that AU, Nathan was doing the same thing and then Sylar took over. (Of course, this Nathan isn't President...yet anyway.)

I'm disappointed we didn't see President Worf, especially after being teased before. I'm wondering if he will even become a regular/semi-regular character at all now.

I don't quite get how/why Mohinder still has super strength, without the "animal/insect/whatever" component. I thought they were connected...I must be forgetting something. It's one thing to have super strength if that's your power, but Mohinder's abilities seemed to be connected to his "animal/beast" traits, weren't they? Oh well, this show has always done whatever it wants to suit whatever they want to do next...nothing new.

Loved the ending on the plane with the music playing, very cool. I also really liked the "suits" the mutant prisoners were forced to wear, also quite cool. Like others I was also a little confused why Peter was having so many problems at the end there given he can fly, but that's just Heroes being Heroes I suppose.

And of course, Sylar was great as always. Anti-heroes are always fun, shady and grey, doing evil sometimes but other times good, so you root for him when he's up against other arguably worse evils (like Nathan's henchmen). So anyway, so far I'm really digging this volume.

I guess that's why the title is "A CLEAR and PRESENT Danger"

I would like a volume that didn't feature the painting power. Although, I do enjoy the mystery it adds to the show.

The formula didn't erase Mohinder's super strength. It only cured him of the mutation.

And it begins again; I’m a bit disillusion with this show. The potential of the first season was so refreshing. Now with all this jumping around it's just a broken record going back & forth on the scratch. I gave it a 6 for the same old, same old stuff.

I guess that's why the title is "A CLEAR and PRESENT Danger"Lol, clever. Looks like you pulled a Scofield (Michael would be proud). heh Part of the reason for the name might indeed be a cheeky response to criticisms to the previous volume (which was arguably "unclear" or all over the place in terms of direction in both story and characters; plus we had a lot of time travel/future/past stuff making it difficult to care what they were doing since things were constantly changing). Now the "danger" is set in the present, and things seem more clear, or at least, more simple/less convoluted than they were before I suppose.

The formula didn't erase Mohinder's super strength. It only cured him of the mutation. But he didn't just have strength, he had enhanced senses, cocooning ability, etc, which all seemed to be an extension of his transformation into the next "Fly" or whatever it was he was. If he was "cured" of the other insect traits, so should his strength be gone. Just how I see it. And I don't get the Peter thing either--it seems his power is worse now--he needs to touch people to gain their power, and it's unclear if he has the power forever after that or only temporarily, or if he can retain more than one power at a time etc... His original ability was far superior. I guess they wanted to make him less godlike....definitely a lot of "rebooting" going on, as Mr. Magic said above.

Well they downgraded two of the most powerful characters on the show (Hiro and Peter).

I still wish that Matt didn't have the future painting ability. The world does not need a prophet Mr Hallucination!

Sylar is more dangerous than he was at the beginning of the show.

I really like it. I love the reference to the pilot , ah good times. And I like the "good" team too. To be honest I'm glad that they made Peter less powerful, he was like a god and that's never good. Besides, we have already a superpowerful guy: Sylar.

The good:

- The overall feeling this episode gave me :D:D:D
- Nathan being a villain. You really believe that he thinks he's doing what's right.
- Peter wanting more powers like back in the old days. :)
- Hiro an Ando, still great together :rotfl:
- Give me an S, give me a Y, give me an L, give me an A give me an R: SYLAR SYLAR SYLAR!!! He showed them that they'll have to bring a bigger army to take him down!
- The cab scene between Mohinder and Peter. Mohinder is a cabbie again! ;)
- Noah taking an other interesting career move
- Cliffhanger!!!!!!!!!! :D

The bad:
- Matt painting the future. Why? Didn't help Matt and Claire knowing they would be caught. Did it?
- The way Claire overheard Angela. Come on! That's to easy :(

The ugly:
- Claire's Lipstick!!!!!!!!!! TOO MUCH PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!
- No explanation on how Sylar survived  Love that he did though.
- The way Pete has to touch someone now if he wants to take his powers. Looks like Arthur's power, but why than did he loose Mohinder's power after touching Tracy? Just leaves to many questions and I'm afraid most will remain unanswered
