Electro therapy? A coma?
Even then I don't know if its possible. The show keeps bringing folks back even after horrible episodes. The best bet is to get hooked on another show and hope that that show makes you a hardcore fan.

A coma would be good.

How could you not want a season 9!!!!!!!!!:eek:
OK maybe it's because they might ruin it and take things to far!
But all the fans want to see is Clark fly, get in a relationship with Lois and maybe even wear those famous tights!!

Clara, how can you watch a show for 8 years and than willingly miss the last one ?
That simply means you actually never liked it so much...If you had you would watch it till it's end because it is the Smallville. Of course, that's your opinion and I respect it.
Well, I don't think I'll move on for a long period of time. We've got parents here on this forum, and that gives you a nice picture of how many people can watch SV, no matter how old they are.
I agree with Emz - I don't think you really can move on.

It will always be my addiction, haha.
At least we will have the dvd's to watch for the rest of our lives, lol.
But seriously I think this show has been one of the longest running tv shows ever!haha.
I will never move on.

I moved on from the Christopher Reeves Superman movies when they made The Adventures of Lois and Clark. I moved on from The Adventures of Lois and Clark when the began making and airing Smallville.
The way to move on from Smallville is to wait for the next reincarnation of a timeless story that never gets old. It might be another 5, 10 or 15 years....

I've asked the same question about Lost, which is ending next year. The best thing you can do is follow the cast members, Producers/Writers, and get hooked on another show.

Dunno...it looks like where stuck here till it ends!
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
But it's gonna be hard to move on...Smallville is the only show i watch so religiously.

I really need to know.
Get another fix to slowly replace. If you want Superman there are plenty of other options. Maybe another episode featured here on K-site?

Well apparently Supernatural is suppose to be addictive and there are way less angst on that show. Beside there are the two main characters there which I'm sure will take your mind off Tom. ;)

I guess I have to choose the coma, too. :) Smallville is the only thing I'm watching in TV except of some movies when they are rerunning them. I'm really happy that there are the dvds. Let's hope we have Smallville for at least another year with season nine!

If Clark becomes Superman at the end of the series, I won't feel I need to move on (so much), since I could just keep up with the comics from then on and look at it as a continuation of Smallville. I'm planning on doing the same for Lois & Clark: TNAS after Smallville wraps. I'll need to make a few adjustments, but it will still work. I'm just hoping I can stay interested in L&C to finish it.
After the show, I'll keep an eye out for the actors and what they're doing. I know Kristen does stuff offscreen, and Allison keeps a blog/website. I'm hoping Tom get's into directing. Michael does weird stuff, but he stars in movies and I might, MIGHT, watch his movies. Depending on how I feel about him after Smallville ends. But I will definitely keep up with the actors after the show, that will help the moving on process from the actors.
Hey, maybe they'll continue a comic series after the show, do they still make comics? I have a few, but haven't collected any for a while.

There's really no way. You could find another show that you like and watch it. But it's not the same, after Season four was over I stopped watching it for a little bit because I thought that I didn't like it anymore. But then after a year or two I started watching it again because I couldn't live without it.

I highly doubt that wicked lois "never liked it that much" is an accurate description. Its called realizing the inevitable that the show has to end sometime and giving it all respect by not forcing another season of the show which will then turn it to the point of mediocrity. Also I dont get why everyone is assuming that clark HAS TO fly on the show or any other assumptions which were stated years ago that it would never happen as long as the show is on the air?

If I moved on from Lois & Clark & show I loved from begining to end
I can definately move on from Smallville a show that gives me headaches & most of the time it's to painfull to watch.
I'm not worried about it b/c when it's over I will continue to love the "REAL" Superman story line somewhere else.
I just had to many disappointments with Smallville to suffer withdrawl like I did Lois & Clark.

Yeah it is mission impossible to move on from Smallville. If you have followed the series from the start, you will always compare another tv show, couple etc. to Smallville. It will forever be in your mind. And you can't escape it either if your'e in a coma :D

I'm gonna have trouble moving on from Smallville. I mean I still haven't move on from Superman TAS, Batman TAS, and Justice League Unlimited. I still watch those episodes on DVD more than Smallville.

when smallville ends it going to be a sad sad sad day. its my number one show right now even though it has some dodgy moments which all shows have at one point.
but yeah just like unfocused said, if it ends on a high note it will be good

We don't have to worry about the end this season or the next. Yeah! But once it does end, the show will continue to live on in reruns and many, many years of watching the shows over and over on DVD's or whatever new tech there is.

Even if it ends at the end of next season, buy the dvds and you could watch 5 epps a week for 39 weeks. That will keep you busy for awhile.

I Don't think we really will move on about Smallville. once and a while something will come up to remind us about it. When we least expect it and our inner smallville will find its way to the surface one day sooner or later. i know i won't be able to move on compleatly.
