I`m scared of the SV`s future...they really spoiled such a good season by these 5 episodes...what are they thinking about?????

Money. I'm told that Kreuk was paid for a full season last year but took off five weeks to shoot a movie. So she owed the producers five weeks pay. So, they wrote Durance out and I supposed saved part of her salary and got Kreuk for nothing. That forced them to force Lana into the show and it simply didn't work. It was about money and if they get away with it who knows what we can expect next?

I'm thinking they are just trying to get us all worked up (and doing a great job, apparently!), and they have a solution in mind to appease this blood thirsty mob. I used to be a huge Clana fan even i am getting sick of this same old crap. Its just horrible. I feel like the whole episode had no purpose and put us back to like season 4. Its kinda ridicolous. SO lets hope to god that once lana is gone we can get back to season8????

If you're going off of itunes, that's because it is the most recent episode of smallville. They do it on a weekly basis so the top three are also the most recent three. They don't count total downloads, they are counting the most downloads for that week. If you look at any other show, the number one of the week is also the most recent (and the top three are almost always the top three most recent).


And yes I still believe this was the worst episode I've ever seen of SV.

This....IS...The.....WORST EPISODE EVER. I've seen reviews on other sites like tv.com, ing.com etc... and all support the belief that this is indeed the worst.
I personally voted that it was bad but not the worst only cause I have not seen this week's episode. I'm preparing for the wost case scenario.

Below there was a coffin shaped aquarium and electric charges became to fire and then the surface of the water caught fire. David Copperfield will do anything for attention. When the fire burned away, it was revealed to be Lana in the tank. She looked scared and screamed out a big bubble.

Will Lana be felled by these fiends? Will her love interest get there in time to save our heroine? Episodes like this are ratings poison. I have been away from the boards for a year.. just checking in from time to time to learn from the great fans that post here.. but I was sooo disappointing in Power that I had to log on and see if i was alone.
Even the actress playing Lana has given statements to the press on how Smallville never knew what the heck to do with her character. I don't think making her the "equal" to the most iconic super hero of all time is a good way to wrap up her character on a long series like this. I don't mind different characters getting powers from time to time as that happens all over the place in the mythos but the bottom line is the human characters in Clark's life always revert to human.. so leaving it that Lana will now forever be Superwoman and be as powerful as Superman and even better because she "trained" well its just poor and lazy writing. JMO

It's not easy making Clana and Clois fans happy at the same time. Everyone's taste is different. For me, I loved Power, because I fell in love with Kristin Kreuk. xD

hmm...i liked the episode, the actual storyline was complete and utter crap, but i thought the acting and everything else was good....that made it better for me, but i guess im a minority around here when it comes to this episode

Totally agree I also will say the episode wasn't that bad. I find it funny how all of you talk so much trash about this episode lol. It is very obvious that these few episodes and the next are for mostly Clana fans (which I am not btw) but yet I am still enjoying the season :D

Given a year to digest Power, I don't think it is the worst episode anymore. Promise was much worse so Power is #2. At least in Power it had a somewhat interesting Tess plot, Promise was just a 42 minute bad soap opera. Who knows given enough time I might rate it better then Ageless.

I've got to disagree, Ageless was a terrible episode, I actually like Promise somewhat (though I really felt like smacking Clark and Lana in it)

But Power is the ONLY time in any series that I have EVER watched that I have been outright ANGRY at an episode. I have been bored, annoyed and dissapointed by episodes but never angry until this episode aired.

I used to really like Lana, I thought she was nice and sweet. After Power I can't even watch the older seasons with out being annoyed at her character because I know how she ends up and it just still makes me so angry.

I'm glad season 9 is doing so well, I love the direction the writers are taking the show now.

But I can never really forgive the crap they pulled with this episode, Lana's character has been completely tarnished for me.

That's exactly it. Just to make the Clana fans happy. Lana has super powers (even thought she didn't do a DAMN thing to deserve them) and apparantly has no weaknesses. How do you think that makes Clark look? How do you think it's makes the rest of the characters on the show look? I'm sick to death of these writers putting Lana Lang on this petistool like she's the best thing to happen since sliced bread. Seriously someone (preferrably Buffy Summers cause she'll be the only one with the balls to do so) needs to knock Lana off of that petistool and give her a cold hard dose of reality!
