That's what i don't like. Clark will get suck in her world once again and when she leaves him, he acts like he's hopeless

Yeah. I always said I'd like a dopey guy like him that would take me back no matter who I stole from, killed or slept with. Man, they just don't make them like Clark Kent where I come from. Maybe its because he is an alien. Maybe he is a BDA. I used to not like when people called him that but maybe its just true.

Honestly, how many times have we seen them break up and get back together since the show started? Season Eight was SO much better when Clark wasn't under Lana's spell.

Clark has always been under Lana's spell. He loves her, & that didn't change because she left.

from the thread title It sounds like everyone blames Lana for how Clark is acting, I don't. Ever since Bride lana's been trying to get Clark to think rationally about the bigger issues and move in the right direction; Clark is the one with the beer goggles glued to his face.
I can't blame Lana for adversely affecting Clark any more than I can blame Kryptonite, they are what they are. I blame Clark for willingly falling back into the old trap in spite of everything he should know by now

my thinking on this is that lanas known clark for a long time she knows what to say to him to get him all gooey eyed like at the end of this ep she says the 'right' things and hes all head over heals. what i think it is with clark though he doesn't think he can ultimately be happy with a 'human' an with lana all i have powers i can take care of myself were equals he thinks thats the only way he can be truly happy what he cant see is that lana is so power hungry though and cant stand clark being 'powerful' with lois she takes clark as he is and its not about being equal in the physical sense clois are equal on so many different levels they have such a strong connection its just a matter of time till clark realises this.

Yes, I believe that was what was going on in this episode. Clark, was literally unable to escape the pull of her love me power.
Everyone, one by one, was shown under the spell of the love me protect me power this episode. That includes LANA herself.
