Well, what do you think? I have never been so disappointed in a season's second half (so far anyway). It seems like the creativity just went out the window after Bride and now they're resorting to a lot of old bad habits. I feel like the first half of the season was a big step forward and now we've taken two steps back.

how have we taken two step backs? we are only three episodes back, legion was great, bulletproof was decent, and this episode was really strong in progressing the storylines of lex/tess.

Well in those regards maybe not, but what say you about progression in terms of Clark and Lois? That's what I was getting at.

Creativity out the window?
The Legion of Superheroes
Clark working with Oliver and Jones (reforming the Justice League)
Tess being Lex's eyes and ears
Project Prometheus
Lex coming back (in a sense) in Requiem
PS3 are doing all these creative things and you feel that the creativity is out the window?
I understand the Clark/Lana hate, but she's ony in one more episode.

why does it have to be about relationships?I thought Smallville was about Clarks journey to become the man of steel and those who influenced him.why is there a big rush to get him with Lois all of a sudden?

clark/lois and davis's storyline have been put on hold and will be coming back as soon as this storyline is wrapped up. clark/lois serve no purpose in this storyline. there are mulitple story arcs this season and each deserve there time to individually shine. lois/clark have had their time and will most likely get even more progression towards season end. i believe that the storyline currently focused on right now is needed to put closure to some of the loose ends of last season, mainly lex and lana.

I agree with you hookem we need to have more arcs to keep Smallville going for another 2 years if possible....theres no rush.

not everyone watches the show for Clois. We have that other show Lois & Clark for that.

You can't just forget about Lois, you'd have to ignore the first half of the season and what they were leading up to....until Lana...again...

thats true. sometimes i believe most people watch the show just for the romance(Clois, Chimmy, Lois&Oliver, Chlark, etc...)

It's terrible that everyone so upset about how SMALLVILLE is being depicted by the writers. Well "kudos" to them if they want to make it more interesting for the closet "soap opera" fans. Like I said if you want "mythos" then stick to the comic books...this is not the show for you. I wish everyone would stop bashing all the characters I love the writers' boldness for taking on the Clark Kent character and doing a different "universe" for him. Just wait until future...when more writers decide to put Superman with Wonder Woman...it'll be another "bash-fest."

kyl-el, well you couldnt just forget about lana. she does have fans that would appreciate an actual sendoff. i mean, i really enjoy clois but there is just so much potential for that storyline until it just ends with them getting together, which would pretty much mean the end of the show. i hope they give lois a more fitting story arc without clark, maybe some investigative journalism with jimmy.

Hey, don't get me wrong...I was a Lana fan for a long time. I just don't like where they're going with her character anymore. Personally I think that what they've done has demeaned what I've always liked about her and turned her into something completely different...but that is just a matter of opinion. I would have much appreciated it if they would have just closed the subject for good in a previous season (in a proper manner mind you) so that the show can progress forward without getting sidetracked.
And I would agree that they can't have Clark and Lois come together too quickly either (which they may have done to an extent in the first half of the season). There's plenty of time for that to develop in a believable fashion. It still bugs me that all the sudden Lois is completely out of the picture, I think that these episode could have been much better if she could have been worked into them.

Hands Down This is the best Show on television. Love It Will always Love it and will always do. I m glad Lois is not in any of the Lana episode because Clana needs a closure without Lois in the picture. Perfect thought by the writers that Lois should be put on hold until Lana is fully gone with the wind. Please Lana needed to come back. Anyone of you listen You remove lana from Clark's life, his journey to Superman will flatline. SO Lana is important and needs a fair goodbye closure. I can not wait for next week Bring it on!!!

I do not know what happened. Did they change the writers after Bride? Pretty much everything since it has been more like "oh please don't do that"
Legion - It was ok, but should have been great.
Bulletproof - Boring, don't even remember why.
Power - What else can they possibly screw up after this?

Yes. Things sort of weakened in the last two episodes because well.... Lana.....
I am sure after once there is closure for Lana and her departing Smallville for good to follow the mythology, things will be back into full swing.
Plus they shouldn't bring Lex back so quickly. Sometimes things are a bit too rushed with Smallville.

Yes, they've lost their play book. I'm just hoping they get it back after Lana's departure. I have NEVER been so disappointed in Clark Kent. It's amazing, up until Bride I was praising him as finally being Superman. Now...wth??
