at the way some of you guys are reacting to tonights episode.I actually like that they gave Lana this kind of storyline...we all know Smallville was never about following the true mythos of Superman,so hey why not create something interesting away from what was printed in the comics.you would never get this kind of argument out of folks had it been Chloe...why so many of you hate Lana is beyond me!and why can't she be a superhero and want to make a difference?she has chosen to do something that Clark and his amazing friends do and yet if she wants to do it some of you beat her up for it.I could care less about the whole shipper thing...and this whole Clark needs to pursue Lois argument is ridiculous if he still has feelings for Lana!think about it,he has been intimate with Lana and really cared for her so would you think he would just up and leave the relationship if it didn't truly mean something to him?I love Lois too and I know she would be awesome for him,but what kind of message do you send if he were to just jump ship from one girl to the next without considering what he actually feels for her and what they had together.as a guy I can tell you that if I had that kind of feeling for a girl and went that far I never would turn my back on it unless she was the one to leave...I don't know how you can just turn love on and off like that!

He's already sent the message that he is a jerk. Clark was leaning in to kiss Lois in 'Bride' and he was supposedly in love with Lana. Lois leaves and in 5 epi's he kissing and sleeping with Lana. After Lana leaves in just 3 episodes (Hex) he shows he has feeling for Lois which indicates that he couldn't have had that much feeling for Lana if he can jump to Lois so quickly.

I don't either. That is why Clark's behavior has been confusing from the beginning of season 8 to the 'Bride' episode when he was supposed to have some feeling for Lois and was recognizing that she had feelings for him...the Lana arc episodes where he so in love with Lana...the 'Hex' episode when he is supposedly over Lana and is into Lois. Or maybe his character is in question. What the heck is he doing?

/sigh

The only thing about PS3 that I really, really dislike is that they've managed to almost completely destroy the Clark character in a moral sense. Yeah, he's a jerk. He's an adorable, puppy-eyed, gorgeous jerk, but a jerk nonetheless.

Edit: Eep, just realized this could be construed as character bashing. This is all in my opinion and on the whole, I still love the character, I just don't like what's being done with him this season. Don't mean to offend anyone, etc.

I AM a fan of the mythos. I don't expect an a-z detailing of the story, but I want to see the high points hit at the very least. While I was never a fan of Smallville's Lana Lang. I didn't mind the Clana for the first 3 seasons because it served a purpose and was interesting.

However, after season 3 it just became lather, rinse & repeat...again and again and again. BORING! Flash forward to "Power"...Lather, rinse & repeat. I found Lana & the recycled story line uninteresting. Would I have said this if it was Chloe who got the suit...No, I would have been rather rude and thrown in a bunch of Mary Sue comments. I'm not a Chloe fan. If it had been Lois, I would have been like "COOL, that was an amazing episode and too bad she couldn't have kept the suit".

As for the shipping... I definitely do not like Clana. Their relationship is only slightly better than an abusive relationship. They bring out the absolute worst in each other, but in the sweetest way. We have seen this again and again and again and again... After 7 seasons, all this pairing shows is that love makes you stupid and pathetic and that's just wrong. Love should make you stronger.

So to sum this up, if it is interesting do it. Clana is not! PS3, for the love of God and all His creatures, please end the Clana NOW... The future is calling and I am tired of the blah message Millar/Gough left on the Smallville answering machine.

And why exactly does she need powers to help or make the world a better place? She had the Isis Foundation and all the LuthorCorp knowledge to help Clark and the rest, why, why, why does she need superpowers to do so? Only so she can be "Clark's equal?" It's ridiculous.

Yeah, what's not to like?!
Lana being her usual villainous self, or maybe Clark liking it? Na, that's what everyone wants to see!
The one sided relationship that is Lana and Clark? Nonono, Lana loves Clark back. She doesn't just use people at her own convenience.

If you find sarcasm you may keep it.

The thing that is incredibly stupid is that they are letting Clana go on, when she's leaving in a week. What's the point? So that they can break up again?
