I've been a fan of the show since about six episodes into season one and have supported it through all the highs and lows of the past eight seasons.

But the day Lana Lang replaces Clark Kent as the star of Smallville is the day I stop watching the show and beat my head against a concrete wall to try and erase all memories of the series from my mind.

Yeah but if Tess tries to kick in Lana's brains and she can't get the blood to splatter on her face we'd get to see that frantic look on Tess before Lana kicks her butt. But wouldn't it be sweet to see Clark take off his shoes and stand on her toes as she takes off and gives him a view of the city? They could fly along the river and Clark could dip his finger in the water and make waves. He could say "I forgot how warm you are" and then he could kiss her as they land on the top of the DP. It would be so romantic and Clark would never have to worry about flights and tights. Actually, this is probably all a result of Welling not willing to wear the tights. TPTB have decided that Lana can do the flights and tights thing and Clark can just continue to run real fast.

Then you might as well plan washing your clothes or something during the hour when 'Requiem' is going to be aired, than this whole storyarc was designed, not to finaly give Clana closure so that Clark can finaly move on and become the hero and the man he was destined to be, but to make Lana Lang even more pumped up with selfimportance and power, than she already felt intilted to! Thank god, the next episode is the last we will se Lana Lang, and I will never forgive the writers for this story arc!

I can picture the Doomsday fight.

Clark is on the roof of the DP with Doomsday. He is being badly beaten by Doomsday. Clark, bloody, goes to punch him but gets smashed into the ground. Doomsday looks at Clark and brings his fist to the air, ready to end this short battle. But wait, what is that in the sky? It's so fast... can it be? Yes, Lana Lang swoops down onto the roof and grabs Doomsday's fist effortlessly with one hand. Doomsday suddenly looks scared, he doesn't know what to do. He tries to hit her with his other hand but it doesn't put a dent in Lana. He tries to get away from her but her grip is too tight. Lana Lang means business. Doomsday cannot speak, but his face speaks more than words ever could. Lana Lang smiles, much like she did in Power when she saw Clark in superspeed, and hits Doomsday in the chest, hurtling him across Metropolis. He crashes through several buildings, killing many people inside them. Lana flies to his body laying on the street. She looks down at Doomsday and says one thing:

'I am Lana Lang. You will leave this place now!'

Doomsday pulls himself to his feet and looks at Lana like a beaten wife would to her husband. He flies off into the sky, and disappears. Everybody comes out and yells, cheering on the heroic Lana Lang for her accomplishment. She smiles, but then looks behind her to see Clark stumbling towards her. She runs to him, and he falls into her arms.

'Is he... is he dead?'

'Don't worry Clark, he's gone.'

Clark utters his last words,

'Lana...' and closes his eyes. Lana Lang stands up, the crowd now silent waiting for her holy words.

'People of Metropolis, I will do everything in my power to defend this humble city,' the crowd roar in approval, and Lana takes off into the air with a tear in her eye. She will miss Clark, but her journey is only just beginning.
