I know it's rather mean....but I have NEVER loved a line more in the history of smallville! :rotfl:.
When the trainer said "how long you have been feeling sorry for yourself. Let me guess....your entire life." You dont know how long I've been waiting for someone to say that to Lana!
Even though she's a lot more of an enjoyable character, I think those are the words she desperately needed to hear. Thats exactly what she's always done. Felt sorry for herself...and then tried to be the "tough girl."
The point of this thread isnt to rip on Lana, just appreciate how perfect that line was! :p
Someone should have said it along time ago.

Well, we do have to be careful of the board rules. ;)
Plus...I dont hate Lana.
But I wont lie, I screamed when that guy said that. If there was one thing in the entire world I wish Clark would say to her....that's it!

When trainer dude said this I almost wet my pants laughing so hard. Who has ever been so honest with her??? Anyway, as much as I rag on Lana, I don't dislike her. I HATE CLana, but I actually like Lana as a person. I want her to be completely happy & satisfied far, far away from Clark.;)

When trainer dude said this I almost wet my pants laughing so hard. Who has ever been so honest with her??? Trainer Dude was the best character in the episode... until he said Lana was his only chance at redemption. Then he was dead to me.

Oh, I loved that line!
And you're right, Andi, it was just what she needed to hear.
I liked the trainer. It's a shame he got killed off!

Yeah, but then he was worshipping her by the end of the episode. Same old thing.

That's only because Lana gave him a gum drop in a cut scene from the episode. Maybe it'll show up on the dvd.

Adam Knight said something similar in Asylum.

LMAO ditto! Now Lana has transformed from God to Jesus as the only source of redemption.

That's what didn't make sense about this episode. They spent a whole bunch of time making Lana look like someone who was power hungry, out for revenge. Then all of sudden she is a hero and passionately in love with Clark again.

That was the best line ever. "How long have you been feeling sorry for yourself?" I was like "for 22 years." But what the guy said was better. :)

I know, I remember laughing and thinking "Hmm....it would be so nice if he called her out" and he did!
Like I said, I think it's something Lana doesnt here enough...or at all for that matter.

It summarizes 7 years of Lana Lang and it would have been a good phrase for "famous last words" - better placed just before Super(-nuts-)Lana is to be killed.

Wait.... he got killed off? From what I remember, after his scene with Clark in the Luthor mansion, he wasn't shown again.

When the guy told her "all your life" I said it the same exact time that he did:). It was like he was Adam (from Season 3) resurrected--the only other man to tell her the truth about herself in eight seasons.

I am not a Lana hater (actually, I like Lana), but I do agree that it was a good line.

Hey I forgot about that line! It was cool, and incredible true.

yeah, that line was cool and true. But, given the circumstances, I couldn't help thinking of Lana like a bad "rambo"-girl :D. Come on, it doesn't suit her....
