I thought that was a great line, too. Perhaps it set the tone for the rest of the series but Clark just needed to get one more kiss in at the end for old time's sake.:\

ITA, it is the only moment I liked in the episode:D

But there is something very interesting too : Lana to Clark : unless, it is not exactly what you want.The Lana's mental state was working for once in this epi : she realizes Clark has doubts:p
