Word through the grapevine is that we will get another, show-ending commercial track in this episode. Check *** for updates after airdate.
Thanks to you, it is the first time I check what means "though the grapevine". Now I know:D
It makes 30 years I hear the Marvin Gaye's song without knowing what was talking about:p

Can we have a french song, please ?:DIt happened once when Lana was under her shower in Paris, I was amazed, at the beginning I was sure it was for the french version but it was not, so coooool:p
Wicked Lois: I don't get it...are you saying you want them to use that song *again*? They already used it once in Season 6.
I think it's more of a desire for the Clana to end tonight!:D

I always like the music the show uses. The ending was just remarkable with the music in the background. It went well together. What is the name of teh song? Her voice sounds familiar.

the las song is from Natelie Walkers the name is Empty road
hear the sound of distant cars
Headlights flicker in the dark
I’ve been waiting, waiting for you
Waiting for you
One of a thousand promises
I’m alone and I am stoned from
The silence of our empty road
Empty road
Maybe it’s time for me to tell you
Cause you never thought to ask
I’ve finally figured out you’re not coming back
So I’ll move on
But I’ll sure miss what we had
You were a best friend
I loved you well
Don’t forget
The good life that we once had
We once had
You gave me a safe place
But often circumstances change
Now I’m gonna take my life back
Cause I gave too much of it away
I hear the sound of an empty road
Tied in suspense
But you’ll never show
I hear the sound of distant cars
Headlights flicker in the dark
I’ve been waiting, waiting for you
I’ve been waiting

I think the last song should have been the Pussycat Dolls song that goes "I Hate This Part Right Here." At least that's what I was thinking when the Clana kissing was going on, lol.

Thanks for the info. The voice makes me think of Missy Higgins. There was a song from here last season, I just remember it was in a scene between Chloe and Jimmy.

oh darn when I read those lyrics it totally burst my bubble. I thought it was such a good song when the only lyrics I could make out was "I've been waiting, waiting for you"
Now its so break-up-ish and sad. =[

Yeah, when I first heard the song, without even listening to the lyrics, it seemed too heartbreaking to match Lana's optimism. It seemed more in sync with what Clark was feeling. The lyrics seem to match what Clark is hopefully beginning to realize and feel, and will hopefully know for certain by the end of the next episode. I love when the lyrics give us insight to what the characters are feeling when their words don't.

Yes, and it was 'vast'ly different than the 'Don't Take Your Love Away From Me' at the end of Bride.:D
BTW the Pussycat Dolls' song is a good song. I like the music to it and the singer's voice. Definitely would have been suitable for that scene as well.

Amazing lol ! I didn't pay attention to the lyrics, I was under the shock of the "titanic power" but it is so clear, it is a song about love which ends.
MICHELE, WE ARE RIGHT, CLARK HAS DOUBTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS:lol:

Karine I love your optimism :D If Clark's doubts would hurry up and get the love finished, I would feel much better! But the song was very appropriate for the moment, even if it was total sacrileige to have a Clana moment on the roof of the DP *sighs* oh well.

Yes, the doubt has been there all along, and the song is the underlying statement of that scene.
Just like "Don't Take Your Love Away From Me" at the end of Bride showed that he didn't want Lois to walk away and 'take her love with her'! They used to play songs a lot more, and I'm glad to see that they're doing it again.
That sun we saw at the end of Power while the song was playing is now the light at the end of the tunnel!!;)

As I said in another topic, when I think of Clana at the end of "power" it makes me think of a The Doors's song which begins by "this is the end":DI can't remember the name of this song...
Sarah, Optimism is a real power;)

It used to annoy me sometimes when music was played in the background on the show, but then I saw that the music gives insight into what the character(s) are feeling or thinking. The song played when Lana and Clark kiss on top of the DP is a break-up song. In contrast, the song in 'Bride' at the end, 'Don't Take Your Love Away' is about Clark not wanting Lois to leave. I noticed that when the song came to the part where it said Put me on a ship that is sinking, On a voyage to an untamed land,Take away the freedoms I wanted they show Lana. If this is a song from Clark's POV, this song says a lot about his relationship with Lana. Wow.
