The overall episode wasn't bad
The Directing was awesome, the only parts I didn't like was Lana getting powers, and the Clana Kiss. But I liked Clarks hesitation when Lana said that they could be together, all I was thinking was whether Clark was thinking, "Lois...". Also the next episode looks quite interesting.

That's what I was thinking from the trailer.Badly scarred Lex with a voice-scrambler.

This episode was pretty so-so,as usual they seemed to have an awesome premise to go with (the Prometheus battle suit) and have it scrapped.This seemed like a story suitable for Season 6 with it's supersoldier overtones.In any case it just seemed like a filler episode deviating from the Doomsday arc.

I'm not a Clana hater, just not a big fan.
I thought we were supposed to be moving FORWARD in the story though. It really seems like 1 step forward, then 3 steps back.
They build & build a story, sever the Clana relationship (as we all know is inevitable), and once we start to focus on other aspects of the story, they jerk our chain and digress back to Lana.

I see now that the objective of the show is not the telling of the pre-Superman story, but as a vehicle for Kristin Kreuk, as long as she'll keep doing it. I don't hate her for that, she's a good actress. I just disagree with the decision to warp the objective in such a blatant way.

I respect that, it looked otherwise..........And I respect that opinion too and agree wholeheartedly that they pulls back and forth with the Clana relationship.........As a Clana fan i don't like it one bit, but I think the least we deserve is a some what of a happy ending.........her dying, IMO is the best way........Nor do I think it regresses Clark........Just for the simple reason, how can someone regress with happiness?

you could say that about all the episodes about oliver or chloe...but when its about lana all hell breaks loose..

heck lana is more important character in smallville then chloe or oliver...chloe has no reference to superman's mythos

i dunno if ur lookin at it as a clana-hater then u wouldnt like it...but the "kiss" it self was great,on the of the daily planet rooftop...KK/TW have great chemistry together..they always have...

Yes and they kissed on top of the Daily Planet, with it pulling away to Daily Planet globe. A lot of people are saying they are going to stop watching because that's something usually reserved for Lois and Clark.

One thing I cannot understand, WTF are they doing makeing it seem like Lana is back in Clark's life to stay & that Clark wants her there when we know she is leaving after 2 more eps?:rolleyes:
This makes the transition to Lois all the more difficult since it seem's like Clark is still far from over Lana!

As much as I loved Allison Mack directing, the pull away shot of Clark and Lana kissing in the sunset on top of the Daily Planet roof (however beautifully directed) did not make me happy, as a scene like that should be reserved between Lois and Clark (in my opinion, at least). However, it will not stop me from watching the show. I am sure the writers who wrote the episode wanted to make the scene as "memorable" as possible (as this was the next to last episode for Lana..), therefore only letting it happen once...hopefully..

Personally, I think Lana and Clark deserved proper amicable closure. Not sudden re-ignited passion and then one of them dies.

That is what I am trying to figure out..I am not sure how they are going to make Clark's transition from Lana to Lois feasible. But the writers seem to pull things off seamlessly with the end results..so I am holding out hope that they will do it right this time.

I am hoping that the scene was incorporated for that reason and that reason only (that it was the best moment for both of them). The route I am not wanting the writers to go is the 'death' route, because I am sure it will lead to more moping from our farm boy and less time focused on all aspects of his destiny, Lois included. I hope that the writers send her off to lead her own path and NOT to follow in Clark's footsteps. For him to truly move on, it is hard for me to believe that she can be in the picture, fighting beside him; the feelings they have (had) for one another would still be there and would be a constant reminder.
