Dan Turpin discussion

so I noticed everyone can't stop talkign about the clana (i'm a cloiser so it got me POed too) but i haven't seen one thread on their opinions of Dan Turpin. What did everyone think of the smallville version of him.

Personally I like it. it was intresting ot see a younger version of him. My only complaintant was he didn't have a epic or proper introduction. I don't even think i heard the word turpin till the end. everyone jsut calling him danny boy. To be honest if I didn't go on kryptonsite I owuld not even had known that was dan turpin. Other than that thou I like the character and what ps3 did with him.

Yeah, its only toward the end that I remembered that there was a ''Dan Turpin'' in the episode.

Later on he's very terriffic. I liked Smallville's Dan Turpin, even if I do think he should have been older. The backstory would still fit though, even if you moved it back about 15 years, so that he would be that old grizzled cop when Clark puts on the suit.

Dan Turpin is an ally of Superman, and second in command of the SCU in Metropolis. They deal with superpowered crimes, and regularly assist Superman, and vice versa. Dan Turpin is a very principled man, who steadfastly refuses to do the "wrong" things, and is dedicated to true justice, and maintaining integrity in everything he does. This background could easily work for the comics Turpin or anything else.

I read something about, that Darkseid takes over Dan Turpin in his later years in one of the various Ages. Maybe he just turns to the Dark-side?

I did like how he was portrayed in Smallville. He could be a recurring Character.

Dan becomes Darkseid in Final Crisis. True evil needed to destroy a noble soul to keep its body and Darkseid took Turpin's.

Yes,Darkseid omega beams the crap out of him.Also it should be noted that in the animated series Turpin was paired with Maggie Sawyer,another ally for Superman in his later years.
