Lex Luthor's Battle Suit

At about 20 minutes into the episode, when Lana is trying to hack Tess's WiFi device, a schematic pops up on the screen that appears to be Lex's armored suit, similar in design to what we see in the comics. It only pops up briefly, but I thought it was very recognizable.

Also, later on when Tess and Lana get into their cat fight, it is over Lana corrupting those files when she was trying to access them. Tess called it the Prometheus program and that is was Lex's only chance for survival.

Did anyone else catch this?

Yes. I thought exactly the same thing. It looked very similar to Lex's armored suit from the comics. It would be cool if Lex returns wearing the suit to have a showdown with Clark before the series ends.

That's the one that I'm thinking of. The one he wore a lot in the 80's comics (they even sold a Super Powers figure of him in that suit).

In fact, lets dwell on the name of it. "Prometheus" was the guy who stole fire in Greek mythology right? And I think they chained him up so the birds could eat his flesh, then every night he came back to life and had to live through the same torment all over again?

But anyways, point being, the "Prometheus" suit would be keeping him alive, so I can definitely see how they came up with the name

Wow, all that stuff integrated inside the body. How convenient for the costume design budget at CW. Maybe it was the only way to get Michael Rosenbaum to come back and play the part (“I won't be wearing that outfit!”).

Makes me scared of the suit they'll be giving Clark on the last episode of the series. That's if we ever finally see a Superman outfit.

We haven't seen Version 2, because the data was corrupted. Lana trying to upload it when it failed, so we never saw the real Version 2.

But still, considering the data is gone, all they have now is the Power Suit design.

oh ill start kickin some people in the seat if this was just a cheap ploy. my brother and i were watching the episode and about 30 seconds after they showed the battlesuit we both looked at eachother like "did you see that or am i just wanting to see what i just saw?". it was the best part of the episode.

it was a file she stole from tess it was the information on prometheus, it shows 2 version a spikey one which was called version 1 which is lex's power suit, and the second obviously version 2 is in my opinion the one that lana is gonna be wearing in power

the clip i saw was of the two suits was in BP it is the scene with lana after she has been to the mansion, she is at isis building and talking to someone on a bluetooth headset she see's the two suits and the it comes up on the computer an unknown wireless signal was detected which turns out to be the implant lex put is tess's optic nerve, which lana reveals to her later in the episode

When I was watching the episode and Tess said Prometheus....I knew I heard that somewhere and I was thinking that is was a previous episode of Smallville. I couldnt remember which one. However, Lex Luthor talked about Prometheus in Superman Returns!!! I dont know if there is a connnection but I was excited when I finally remembered!!!

He's most definitely not coming in the bulky armor becuase that was Version 1, if you look at Version 2, it's almost like a second skin. I have the video but not he image.

this was the exact thing i was thinking about last night. i remembered seeing pics of that suit when i was at wikipedia once. It didn't hit me til last night that that was the suit I had seen. Doesn't Lex kill superman with it? I was thinking he did... an interesting thing to slip in to an episode though.

im suprised no one has caught this yet. when lana was in the isis foundation, she had what looked like a blue print of lex's armor on her screen. for the fans of the comics and animated series, you will know what im talking about. its usually green and purple and sometimes its a mix of lex corp & brainiac technology and sometimes its apocolypse technology given to him by darkseid.
