DVR Glitch...help!

I was wondering if anyone could help clear something up for me. My DVR glitched so when I watched the recording it cut off right as Oliver got caught and put his hands up. Then it jumped to the last 5 minutes where Clark and the police officer were talking in front of his house. So how did Oliver get out of that and what happened with John Jones?

Oliver convinced Dan not to kill him, mostly by saying that Clark believed in the good in Dan. When the sniper cop, tried to take out GA and Dan, Clark showed up in front of him and the bullet bounced off of Clark's chest. Clark said, "Like you said, always wear a vest". It was AWESOME! Then Dan arrested his cohorts, and told the approaching cops."I'm one of the good guys" and Clark smiled.

I'll have to see what happened next. If you wanted, you could get it from Itunes.

Oh, There was a scene in hosp. room with Jones, Clark and Oliver. They were talking about
thinking you could do things on your own and how nice it was to know someones got your back, which was said by Clark. That was one of the best scenes of the episode. So, Jones did recover.

Then it showed Tess looking in a mirror and talking to Lex, saying she was done with him. Then she jammed Lex's signal from her eyes.(That sounds strange LOL) Oliver shows up for dinner and Tess asks him if he's interested in a Merger.Then the scene in Dan's front yard.
