This thread isn't meant to be degrading by any means,i just had a question about Tess.Isn't it funny how she always has these compliments about other women on the show?She must be very assured of herself.That must be it!:)

I'm glad my husband and I aren't the only ones who notice this!

Tess seems to have smoking hot chemistry with every female she shares a screen with. With the males? Not so much...

I would love if they had Tess have an inclination towards women. It would be something we haven't seen on the show before in the relationship arena. (unless you count that female wrestler who took a liking to Lois for like five minutes in that meteor freak fight club episode)

Well you saw how she looked at Lana, and said not only that she had a "presence" but that she was also stunning. She also held her breath a bit when staring at Lana. I was definitely picking up on some sexual tension there. However, I am probably slightly biased because myself like many other guys want their to be sexual tension between two attractive women..LOL

However, I agree that Tess does seem to put off a certain vibe with other female characters.

Well, I am completely surprised, I didn't think about this until this topic...Yes, I have seen how Tess was with Lana but I thought it was by curiosity. We know Tess is/was in love with Lex and to see the woman who drives him crazy makes her curious. And the compliments to me were more to say "Lex has good taste" than another thing. Tess will kill to tell to the world Lex is wonderful. She adheres to everything he does,...until the last epi, we can speak in the imperfect tense now lol. It is just my opinion, don't you think I can be right ? :(;)

Complimenting is one thing like we saw Tess do with Maxima and Lois. It was because she had something in it for herself.

Bulletproof's episode had Tess worshipping the ground Lana-Fu walked on. What has she done to even remotely cause this reaction with anyone?

It was so over the top glorification, something that seems to be the new trend here that it's just not even remotely believable. I can't wait to see what character it is next week that crowns her "The Almighty".

You are talking about Athena who was played by Ashley Massaro.That's the closest we ever came.The Tina Greer thing was classic for another season.At Visage there was a very awkward moment when she tried to put the moves on Lana while she was transformed as Chloe.A keeper for Kristin and Allison fans:).

Well that's Lana and all women and men flock to her. That's Lana's thing. Imra was all over her too.

I always figured that Tess was, based on how she's always checking out cuties of both sexes. Not a shocker, given that they've shown her intimate only with a guy. If they had her hit on a woman, THAT would be more intriguing. Unfortunately, Chloe's married, Lana's leaving, and Lois is her employee.

I compliment other females from time to time and I'm not bi-sexual. It's about being confident with yourself and not threatened by other females, so it's not unusual to give a compliment or admit something you admire about someone else. Whereas, some women can be catty or jealous and don't want to admit something is attractive about another woman.

However, in this particular case with the Lana character - I do believe it has been a trend from day one with nearly all characters fawning over Lana and complimenting her. I thought after Al/Miles left, this would not be the case. But it is still happening, since Lana returned. So, I felt it was a bit out of character for Tess in this instance. The same with Imra and every other character that goes overboard praising Lana. Like a previous poster said, that's Lana's thing. The writers have practically every character doing so at one point or another, so I wasn't too surprised. It's just something they've always written for Lana.

I thought it was a given that Tess was bisexual. I guess the show can't really explore that side of her character, but I do believe they are trying to give us the hint and want us to talk about it. So far I can think of three scenes where there was some slight sexual tension on her part, in Odyssey when she found Lois snooping in the mansion in her french maid outfit, when her and the secretary made eye contact in some other episode I forget, and with her (a bit too forward?) remarks to Lana this week.

She's a bit more subtle than Tina Greer with her sexuality, but I think it's still very evident.

2. She worships (not anymore now) Lex
3. Her kung-Fu side - she comes across as abit of a 'tomboy'

Yes. It seems like it is definately a possibility.

If you notice, even back in "Odyssey," there was a decent amount of sexual tension between her and Lois, the way she felt the material of her French maid costume. I don't think its just coincidence that was formed between the scripting stages of the episode and the shooting stages of the episode, because there was a specific camera shot of Tess touching Lois' costume, which led me to think that it was deliberate.

I'll have to go back and rewatch to see if I pick up on anything in her scenes with Chloe in "Instict (I think that's where they shared a storyline)," but I definately noticed it again when she met Lana for the first time.

I wonder if the decision to give Tess sexual tension with the females on the show is to increase her seductive edge as far as her image goes. However, she does seem to have some sexual tension with Clark, and in a weird way, with Lex?

I understand what you all mean but I am not sure you are right. She can be just a passionate person who looks at the other people (male or female)like she does.
As Shodowlord said it, I have noticed it with Clark in another way than for women. And she says she is in love with Lex. Well, I am very puzzled:confused:

Same here! It would be nice if Tess were bisexual just to bring some diversity, then again it's a bit stereotypical for a woman in charge to be labeled as masculine or homosexual just because she is operating in a typical male environment. Not to mention that not all gay characters have to be psychotic or evil and so far the only gay character (or assumed to be gay) was wacko! Having Tess added wouldn't really be that great for the gay community, IMO. Although I guess it could be argued that just having a gay character period is good.

I disagree. She has good chemistry with Justin and even better with Erica. The first scene between them at the beginning was so amazing! The tension was palpable. I really do hope that we get more Tess/Lois scenes in the future.

As far as i remember SV haven't taken that route with a character yet, they've all been same sex orientated. I think it would be a different and refreshing storyline to explore.

I thought that she was. Her eyes lit up when she saw Lois in the French maid's costume, when she saw Maxima and when she was complimenting Lana. I never saw her drool over a guy like that.

please explain why tess kept glancing down at Lana's assets! and Lana was like "hmmmm" with a smirk on her face, she totally knew tess was into her.

I totally didn't notice it the first time around, but on rewatching she definitely does glance down an awful lot during that scene. Please PS3, reference this explicitly at somen point. Yknow, just a passing "my ex-girlfriend" or something would make me endlessly happy.

If she is, than that is HOT!!! I got a thing for red heds and brunnetts. But yeah, she loves complimenting other women, it's nothing bad, chicks do that all the time.
I don't think that there is a deeper meaning to her compliments. I guess it could be just her strong personality.
