 You've got to love Smallville!!
Did anyone else laugh out loud at this? When they are arresting Clark...and they say "You are under arrest for the murder of Jon Jones."
I couldnt help but think...."Um, what about impersonating an officer?" If you want to arrest the boy...why not use his actual felony?? (Pretty sure its a felony).
Then at the end the cop's talking to Clark about being a reporter. Like the fact that he pretended to be a cop was no big deal.
They gave him a gun....and some how he came up with the needed paper work to fool them all... But since they bonded...they'll call it even. :rotfl::p

I thought it was strange too lol oh well. It's Clark Kent. He never gets in trouble for anything because he knows people who can make it disappear!

I am more interested in how Clark infiltrated the Cop Squad!! How did he get the paper work? I heard them mention Star City. Could Oliver have helped him?

^ I thought it was all Chloe's work. She's as good as Batman if she can pull that off on her way out the door

Oops. Totally forgot that part!! Oliver did tell him to follow his own leads and that's how Clark ended up becoming a cop

MOD EDIT Didn't Clark thank Jonn at the end of the episode for helping him not get charged for everything he did?

Not really. Yes he was impersonating an officer. But they mentioned during the convo with Jones, Oliver and Clark that Jones was going to pull some strings to get Clark off on the impersonation, like he'd done with Oliver to cover up his tracks when he's out as the GA, and he did for Clark earlier in the season as the Red Blue Blur.

I know...I'm sure paper work like that doesnt just fall from the sky...and even Chloe isnt THAT good!
Maybe Ollie pulled some strings...but he seemed pretty surpised to see Clark there. :\

It still doesn't make much sense. Oliver didn't help him. Jones just got off the bed after bedrest and then Clark thanks him for clearing his name???

That's because there was a clear passage of time between when Clark was arrested, and that scene in the hospital. It went from Day to Night. It had already been at least two days since J'onzz had been shot. My guess is that he'd woken up prior to that scene, hence why he was dressed and ready for release. During the passage of time, in offscreenville, is when J'onzz got him off on the impersonation. Hence Clark thanking him.
I doubt they'd just let him sleep in the same clothes for a few days straight, even if he is an alien

Just go with it. I liked Clark Kent the cop. Jones knows how to pull some strings when it comes to Clark.
