I thought Clark was pretty awesome tonight. The Clana moments, imo, were given a good explanation that went a long ways towards giving me an insight into how he views Lana & why he wants it to work out between them.

Is it ideal? No. Is Lois getting shafted? Yes. But, I guess, it is what it is. Clark has a right, I suppose, to figure things out with Lana if he wants. He doesn't owe Lois anything, I guess.

But, yeah, I was happy Lois wasn't in this episode. Because I really didn't want her to be put in a spot where Clark physically chose Lana over her. Or had a moment where they talked about the almost kiss and he just brushed it off like it was nothing, so he could go back to Lana.

So, yeah, I am glad that they just wrote her out completely. At least Chloe was looking out for her.

As much as I love Lois and want to see Clois, I think that the Clana fans should get their last few episodes to say goodbye to their ship. I would have preferred that happened last season, but since it didn't-I'm okay with them getting this goodbye.

I always always always miss Lois. But when I do, I imagine her away risking life and limb getting into trouble and writing article after article about her experiences and picture just how much heck she's going to cause Clark when she's back and he realizes how much of a good thing she really is but she makes him (as Clark) chase her I feel much better. :)

I never once believed it should be one or the other. I would have loved to see both on the screen, provided there was no love triangle going on as well. (I am just tired of them!)

I missed Kristin, and I usually like Lana, when she is decently written, but as a Lois' fan, I didn't like the fact that they cut her in Kristin's episodes. It takes a lot of the pleasure of watching Kristin again.

Exactly! People keep ripping on Clark. He is attracted to Lois and no denying it but somehow it's been forgotten that Lana dumped him and also that Clark and Lois are not a couple yet. Give the guy a break. He's going to break up with Lana and hot foot it after Lois. When he does, Clark chasing Lois: squeeee and can't wait!

I think that they can use this Lois absence to put an end to Clana for good. Cuz lets be honest the Clana chapter wasn't well closed and if stayed like this Lois will always seem the second choice. And in these next episodes without Lois, Clark can have an epiphany and finally discover who his true love is and finally the Clana chapter is closed and that leaves every door open for Clois. xD

I get what you're saying completely. That's one of the things I find frustrating about the Clana relationship is the on-again, off-again of it all. Like you said, they both show an inability to move on but we've also seen them break up so many times.

But that's just a matter of personal preferences of course. It's all about what type of relationship you would like to see unfold onscreen and there's no 'right' answer for a ship, if you know what I mean.

The Clois and Superman fan in me hopes we see Clana get some proper closure. Otherwise, like you said, anyone who comes in the future for them will be living in the shadow of the Clana relationship.

And lol-if Lois doesn't want Oliver, I'll take him :D

I miss the Clois, but technically and objectively, the character Lois was not relevant to the story line. I like to keep the Clana and the Clois separate. I don't like a triangle idea for them. I still am not sure where Lana stands as a person whether the show intends for her to be good or bad, but that is an issue I have had with other characters as well. It would have been my preference to have this arc in the begining of the season. For me, it would have flowed better. This current Clana arc of (what I guess is) closure, although I miss the Clois, is necessary. Lois and Lana were on good terms in this universe. I like the Tess-Lana fights. I like that Lois and Tess don't get along. However, I would have not liked the idea of Lois and Lana fighting for Clark. I think Lois will come back guarded with walls up and I am good for that because to me that is something different that Lois and Lana fighting for Clark.

I didn't miss Lois this episode mainly because I don't think she would've added much to it. After all, they barely had room to stuff a tiny Chloe scene into the mix with establishing Danny Turpin's character, using Martian Manhunter a bit, and with Lana still guest-starring. I think it'll be a nice chance for Clark to sort out his feelings separately from her, and her return will have a bigger impact on him. Am I looking forward to her being back? Yes. Erica Durance has vastly improved my opinion of this character within the last 2-3 seasons, and I do really enjoy watching her now, but I didn't particularly miss her in this episode. I'd rather them focus on fewer characters and give them a lot of depth than barely toss in brief snatches of EVERY cast member which wouldn't give them a chance to focus as much as they'd need to on the "A plot" of the episode.

Good point; I hadn't read her entire post, tbird4u. I wish people would just learn to share their opinions without completely bashing another character or ship, which is what Craig has been asking us to do very nicely. Hopefully people will learn to get along better. And this is coming from a guy who currently likes Chloe, Lois, AND Lana... though I still like Chloe the best. :-D
