I agree with all of your statements.... except the whole Chlois thing. I was about to cry when she was about to die, and I was screaming that Clark must've changed the future. The Legion is gonna go back and find some changes.... or tell everyone of Chloe Sullivan... or something.

I still believe they might do Chlois in some form. though I don't really care if they do or not. One thing I know for sure; "Chloe", whether her name changes or not, is a BIG part of Superman's life, and always will be. :)

With you on everything except the Chlois theory. I love Chloe and at a point I actually thought Chlark was gonna happen in SV, but, I don't think so after Bride, sorry :( Plus Lois and Clark are destined.

I screamed NO! At the TV whenever they foreshadowed Chloe's death. I cackled with glee when Clark angrily grabbed Garth. I watched that grab about 10 times. *rewind* LOL!

I didn't believe for a moment that Chloe would actually die. She has an episode to direct after all.

Well, I wasn't getting ready to cry but things were going to get pretty ugly around this place if Chloe had not made it. Chloe Sullivan Does Not Die! Writers, don't make this a Dawson's Creek (oh they already did that a few seasons back).

Lana could die and it wouldn't matter. I mean Clark eventually falls for Lois in the end anyway so its not like he wouldn't have a new love interest if she were not to survive. But Chloe has been very essential to Clark's development whether she is liked for it or not. Lana has just been an ball and chain around his neck and a fantasy that never was what Clark envisioned her to be in reality. That's why they really never got along. He has never been in love with Lana but an image of Lana that never really existed.

Who hated the Clana stuff? I did not hate it, but GOD just let it be over. Is Clark that blind? She left you man by video and you were finally moving on!!! Or you that fickle? You already saw that she wasn't that wonderful before she left and you saw the person that she really was. What does she have to do to make you see that Lana and Clark just do not work? Beat a puppy to death in front of you?

Boy, I wish I could find me a dimwitted, love blind man like Clark is in the area of romance. I can sleep with his enemy, sleep with and actually prefer his phatom clone, kill people, steal from people, keep secrets from him and tell lies to him all while being a hypocrite by bashing him for keeping secrets and telling lies, and can leave him by video tape with no explanation but come back without warning him in advance and I'd still be loved.

I hate that they mess over Clark/Soon-to-be-Superman just to progress their storylines, especially those that contain Lana. I just saw the Lois and Clark series. They were on just 4 seasons but they were never stagnate and the always moved forward. You saw progress there. SV not so much. What a shame. If they had not been so blinded by Lana-love so many seasons they really could have made one of the best series of all time. Oh well. At least season 8 is very, very good.

I just can't seem to let the whole Chlois thing go though, after Chloe used her as a by-line that one time, I was like, that's it. Sorry if no one else believes, but it helps me sleep at night, no disrespect. And, I will ALWAYS & FORVER Hate Clana, it just 'harshes my mellow', if that makes any sense. There was no way Clark would kill Chloe. Not after she's defended and saved him (including from Brainiac's kryptonite paralysis and in going after Brainiac Kara), there was no way hed callously abandon her.

Although I was worry that no mention of Chloe means that she marries Jimmy Olsen, does Lana's filing at Isis and is content to be the wallflower in the annuls of history. I'm clutching onto Lightning Lad's idea that she takes a new name for herself to protect her 'real' identity. If not 'Watchtower', than Lois Lane suits me just fine- she already used it once in the show as a journalism alias!

I knew Clark wouldn't let her be killed. So predictable, the LOSH guys debating and "here give me the knife" "no, I'll take the knife" giving Clark plenty of time to arrive and save the day. Pretty much ruined the tension-- not to say there was ever much tension to begin with.

Actually, I hate it when shows do this stuff. The hero refuses to do what "must" be done, insisting that there must be another way, one where nobody dies. This is presented as being virtuous and brave and compassionate, when in fact it's really kind of selfish and cowardly. Refusing to make hard choices. It's an easy out, and it's a cheat.

Come right down to it, Clark refuses to sacrifice the life of his friend and would rather risk the lives of billions. He's like the commanding officer who refuses to order his men into action because one of them might get killed. He's not being virtuous-- he's being indecisive.

Of course, it turns out okay, because the "hero" gets lucky. That's just lazy writing.

Clark had no idea his alternate plan would work, that he could exorcise Brainiac and keep Chloe alive. He doesn't know how to eradicate Brainiac (his first try, at the Fortress, was a failure), and he doesn't know the extent of the powers of the LOSH guys. The guys do know their powers, and even they don't think Clark's plan will work! But of course it does work. Against all reason it works, by sheer good luck. I'm sorry but I don't see how relying on luck and refusing to make hard choices makes Clark wise or virtuous or Super. I don't see how risking the lives of the multitude so that he can show favoritism for his friends makes him great.

She's made such an impact on Clark, and not considering her important is utterly ridiculous. She may not be canon, but she's still important--at least in the SV universe.

You have Lana to thank for that. The Legion was able to convince Clark that the only way to save billions of people was to kill it's host. Clark was ready to go with that. It was Lana who told Clark that his original opinion of saving Chloe at all costs was the way to go.
