Does Chuck's dad have the same ability?

I'm not implying anything, I'm just saying do you think he might have the same ability to hold the intersect in his head and survive.

No. I don't think he can. He was an engineer . . . so if anything, his dad is more like Laslo from season 1 . . . can build a lot of gadgets for people

And no he doesn't, Bryce downloaded the intersect after their dad left, then downloaded it into Chucks head, and destroyed the computer. They would have know if this was tried before, and killed the target since they still had the computer. Theirs no way he has it, since he left before the intersect was even fiddled with

I'm saying Chuck can hold the intersect in his head and survive because its implied that some can't hold it and go insane. Maybe Chuck inherited that ability from his father but maybe we'll never know.

Let's say for discussion sake the Chuck's dad does have the same data retention ability as Chuck. What sort of plot line would that lend to?

Could Chuck's dad be another intersect - an old outdated one perhaps? Is that how Bryce knew that Chuck could absorb the intersect in the first place. Is that why Chuck's dad disappeared, because he had outlived his usefulness as an intersect or because he received the intersect?

Or Maybe Chuck's dad uses his ability to make him gifted in engineering and design. Perhaps he can absorb quickly the understanding of foreign technologies. So he is a spy that tries to catch a glimps as schematics or weapon productions. Or maybe he carries in his head the US governments technology secrets. Secrets that are so dangerous that they don't want then written on paper or in a computer.

Sounds like fodder for fan fiction if you ask me. I doubt we would ever see plots like this on the show. But it is interesting to think about.

I don't know, let's say for example, someone lets say the CIA pulls Chuck's father's record from college when he was there in the 70's more likely and find that he has the same ability as Chuck to retain and recall subliminal thing that was mentioned.

Chuck is just a computer geek. That fact that he understands computers so well, is the reason he doesn't go nuts with all those images in his head!

I'm saying whether his father could have the same attribute as Chuck to hold the intersect in his mind and not go insane because of the images. Chuck might have inherited his super-smarts from his father since he was an engineer. :D
