What happened to the abrupt ending

yeah they never show an actual preview per say but show an excerpt from the next season

they showed a voice-over about them being fugitives, with them being hunted, bagged, and wearing orange jumpsuits and masks. someone said "we've caught the first one". presented it like it might bring more of the 'specials' together, in a unified way.

That happened to me last week, my DVR changed the channel with 3 minutes left. :eek:

I had to watch that part on the NBC website and again on the G4 network on Tuesday.

Peter accusing Nathan, asking if he's just going to round them all up, just get rid of them. Shot of Tracy being surrounded by badguys with shotguns.

Bad leader saying 'we've got the first one'. Prisoners with masks and orange jumpsuits being guarded by bad guys with shotguns.

- They'll need each other -

Unfortunately, I don't see much incentive for people to continue to watch the show with an ending like tonight and the preview of the next chapter. I will watch anyways, until it ends, mainly because there's nothing better to watch on Monday nights. It may be a different story if Heroes changes time slots of nights. If that happens, it's likely Heroes is on the tentative cancellation list.

I don't think they've done anything to get new viewers, but I think enough people will wonder what's going to happen next. They've fought each other, they fought the Company, they've fought Pinehearst, and now they'll fight the government. I think people will keep watching, as long as it develops. Season 2 was a little lost, and Season 3 did have plot issues, but I think its moving forward enough to keep folk's interest.

I don't think they've done anything to get new viewers,.
They did locally last summer. They had Sylar plastered on bus billboards. They had promoters in malls giving out Sylar paper masks.

Mind you, this is in Canada. Not sure what they did in the US.

Wonder if they're just trying to keep current viewers from jumping ship, and after that is taken care of, start trying to bring in fresh eyes. They'll need to show something iconic (i.e. "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World")

If you hadnt noticed the entire premise of Heroes is from the X-Men, and they acknowledge the similarities, hence Stan Lee appearing in S1. There is no plot thus far in this show that can't be related back to the X-Men.
