View Full Version : Is the intersect now a new project?

After Bryce put the intersect update chip in the sunglasses, he told Chuck he had always been looking out for him, and that he still was . . . is it possible that a storyline will develop where Chuck was going to be targeted for a different mission besides the Omaha one from Standford?

We've heard no development of a third intersect, and they're using Chuck more and more for missions.

Or could it be that the plan was to give Chuck the intersect all along, and it wasn't just Bryce's idea to keep it out of Fulcrum's hands?

I'm not sure about Bryce. I think he operates somewhat as a rogue and the intersect is his interest. I don't think Bryce was under CIA orders to "update" Chuck. I think Bryce thought that was just the most practical thing to do under the circumstances.

Is Bryce really looking out for Chuck? I think he probably cares about Chuck but I don't think he has Chuck's best interests at heart.

I'm surprised that Chuck isn't more actively trying to find ways to upload his brain to a new intersect somehow. They portray Chuck somewhat as a computer genius. Why isn't he considering this?

Chuck is a computer genius, if he put his mind to it, he could outsmart Sarah and Casey.

another reason I was wondering this was, if you watch in the first episode of season 2, right before they turn on the new intersect and it blows up, they have the general put on his glasses, and the other 6 agents standing in the room take theirs off.

That leads me to think they were going to see if the other agents could absorb the intel and use them like they use Chuck. Seems if you could get real agents to absorb the knowledge like Chuck, they'd be pretty useful.

I think that was the idea, if a normal person like Graham would absorb the intersect, they'd either die or go insane from the images.

so were the other agents in the room computer geniuses like chuck?

Maybe, you might not have to be a genius in order to absorb the intersect and survive. The writers have to elaborate on why certain people can hold in the intersect.

I've never thought of Chuck as a genius. I think he has a gift. Some special gift yet to be explained. But he isn't a genius. The fact that he doesn't stay in the car and he gets himself into messes all the time (like driving to the Dojo. I still can't figure out why he did that) shows that he often thinks more with his heart then his head.

Chuck might be a genius if we ever see what his IQ is. But in any case, Chuck is smart, smarter than Sarah or Casey. He could easily outsmart them if the situation ever presented itself especially Casey if he ever tried to kill him again.

I'd say Chuck is a genius . . . maybe not in the extreme sense, but he was 12 credits from graduating from Stanford with honors . . . I'd say he's pretty smart

But there is definitely a gift he has that needs more explaining

Definitely he is a genius, I wonder what his IQ must be? But he is smart, he could outsmart Sarah and Casey especially Casey.
