So I was browsing image files on Google and came across several cast pictures from 2007 that had this dark haired mystery woman. Does anyone know who this is, and what part was she going to play?

Is this Elle? If so, then they totally rewrote her character. Anyone have info on that?

In an interview I can't find because it's kind of old, Josh S, said they had another girl for Chuck. Girl next door kind of girl. She was cast and all, I think they even shot her scene for the pilot but they decided to cut her off completely off the show. And that actress there was the girl next door. I think the official reason was Chuck had to many girls on him hehe!

oh ok that makes sense. and ya having extra girls on the show all wanting chuck would just be too confusing :\ plus the show is good without extra plotlines lol.

A girl next door? Hum... That would have lead to some interesting plot lines, but I can totally see why they didn't go with it. I don't think viewers would like to watch a love triangle, day in and day out.

"Casting continued throughout March with Sarah Lancaster, Joshua Gomez, and Natalie Martinez landing the parts of Dr. Ellie Bartowski (Chuck's older sister), Morgan Pace (Chuck's best friend), and Kayla Hart (Chuck's neighbor and love interest), respectively. The Kayla Hart character was dropped before filming because creators Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz found it unlikely and too complicated to the storyline that two women would be pining over Chuck. Morgan's surname was later changed to "Grimes" and Sarah's surname was changed to "Walker" as it was previously "Kent"."

The Sarah-Chuck-Jill love triangle for 3 episodes was enough of that. I'm glad they wrote the girl-next-door off the show. I hope the actress found another job, though...

So I was watching the season one DVD special features and they said that Kayla was originally in the pilot and was cut out. She was a girl who lived next door and Chuck was "pining" for her. Kayla owned the dance club that Chuck took Sarah to and that Chuck took Sarah to that club so that Kayla would see them together and be jealous.
