So I guess wherever Hiro teleported Elle and Sylar it wasn't too far away. Sylar seemed to find his way back to civilization. The near by lighter fluid was also handy.

My wife noticed that right away too, she asked if he had Nathan's flight, cause he got to that office building pretty darn fast.

Sylar looked to me like he was taking his time. So he prob strolled over and got some lighter fluid

or killed some kids on the beach and took the lighter fluid

or wandered around, found it and decided it would be a good idea to make a fire.....

poor Elle.

hmmm....maybe he made a pit stop before getting the 'truth' lady's power and snagged someone else?

I don't know why I didn't find the fact that he burned her body weird at the time... But I do now! Hmmm....

I thought it was his way of sending her off. I mean usually he leaves the bodies there without much thought. But Elle meant something to him, so he felt the need to give her a "burial" of sorts.

The Sylar/Elle scene was in Costa Verde. They show "Costa Verde, California" on the screen just as the scene starts..
