10/10 for me. Arthur thought he had it all planned out but it went a little off towards the end. I wonder how it'll all wrap up next episode? Overall I thought there were a lot of great scenes - especially with Hiro and his mom.

Great Episode, plot twists abound everywhere. Good to see the old Sylar again and Arthur is gone. Who could ask for a better episode!

I am not sure it could have been better than this episode... But I know it will only get better :D
10 - outta - 10
First season of Heroes... great season. Why? It had a constant plot.
Second season? Not so great. But it still had a steady plot.
Third season? What makes me THE MOST angry.
1. They've completely eliminated the Nicki and Micah storylines, and have forgotten certain characters, which I think is why so many people are angry.
2. They KILLED Nicki, then replaced her with an ice queen. (What was going on there?)
3. They KILLED Elle, which is pretty much the last straw there.
4. They completely reversed the beginning half of the season. While there's still a lot tied into the formula... just look at what changed:
a. They've given up on the "Sylar maybe good" storyline, therefore completely canceling out his empathic abilities, which he gained from his father.
b. They contradicted themselves. Suddenly, Sylar is no longer Peter and Nathan's brother? What's going on there?
c. They contradicted a big theme in Heroes... the idea of the Butterfly Effect, which was brought into Heroes in the early part of the season. Hiro went back in time and changed EVERYTHING, yet it's almost as if he's gone into some alternate dimension that has no bearing on the future.
d. Season 2 ignorance...
I. Claire's boyfriend forgotten
II. Micah and mimic girl gone
III. Nicki dead
IV. Maya and what's his name storyline eliminated, without any rhyme or reason
V. Big villain of second season killed for no reason and too easily
VI. Elle now dead, too sudden
Basically, everything they did in the second season is now forgotten. Maybe, if they'd continued on an actual plot line, they'd have more viewers. Because it would MAKE SENSE.
But, what did they do?
They fired the original writers, who were only bad because they disregarded the second season. And now, they're disregarding what those writers have already done this season?
It's clear to me that Sylar finding out that Peter's not his brother and Arthur not his father just proves it... they've attempted to "cancel out" what the other writers have done.
Other things I don't approve of...
1. Mohinder Suresh gaining powers. He was a DETACHED NARRATOR. That's what the function of his character was. You destroy that, you've destroyed a piece of Heroes.
2. Villains killed too easily. Look at Linderman? All that build up, and he's killed with one bullet. And what's his name, the ageless guy from the second season whose name... God help me... I can't remember? Turned to ash. Destroyed with a simple touch. (I mean, he could have DONE something.) And what about Arthur Petrelli? Killed SO SUDDENLY. You see where I'm going with this? The volume format they have forces them to off each villain without any rhyme or reason, which brings me to my next...
3. The volume format. I mean, come on! You could have done so much more with the third season if you'd stuck to your guns. Sure, the fans want a quicker moving show... but that anticipation is what makes a TV show good. Instead, it's always one plot line after another, with a simple and elaborate resolution. Anybody with me on this one?
4. It's KRISTEN BELL! The only woman I'd have carnal relations with before marriage! Why did you kill her?
5. I just want to say this twice for effect... SCREW WHAT YOU'VE DONE WITH MOHINDER!

Scenes where Hiro and Claire meet their own father and mother really gave this episode 10/10 ...although I'm still bittered by the Elle case but...wut an amazing episode for sure!!
I was thinking this episode was the best ever, until Hiro had his powers taken away by Arthur. Everything went downhill after that. That's why it CAN'T be the best episode, IMO.

They killed off secondary characters because they are expendable and needed only when needed that is why Elle is gone and Micah is gone
And you have inconsistencies, Candice is dead
Maya's storyline is done because her brother was killed and she got what she wanted which was to gt rid of her ability
Um Adam died because Arthur took his ability, not because he was touched and his cells could not regenerate fast enough to make up for 400 years
Arthur died only cuz he betrayed Sylar final point
I will not go one beut get your facts right next time buddy

i agree with you on some of them...like killing a villain they build up so big too easily and forgetting certain characters like micah, mimic girl, that one girl who can find anyone and nathans wife and kids

Blame Kristin Bell, she didn't sign a contract for more episodes.
I didn't care much for her character anyway, I honestly liked Maya better.

You know, Lex3, I just spent 20 minutes writing up a response to that, but I'm not going to bother posting it. Think before you complain. Writing off characters isn't forgetting them, killing characters you like doesn't mean the writers suck.
[Mod Edit] . Nearly everything you said can be explained by simply thinking logically. People didn't like Niki, or Maya, so they got rid of them. Micah is living with Monica now, they're both trying to deal with their powers, live a normal life, who knows? It's an explanation.
Just please, think about things before you complain. This season isn't doing too well because people complain without thinking, and say the show sucks. I admit they've done some dumb things, made some mistakes, etc, but the show is still great.
Yay, some time for me to post my own thoughts.
I thought this episode was great, we see why Ando is going to use the formula, learn more about the catalyst, Hiro's mom was hot, Noah is badass, Sylar is badass, Peter is kinda cool (All the Peter hate is so unnecessary imo, how many people would actually kill their own father without a second thought? He did pull the trigger, Sylar just stopped the bullet)
I was disappointed when Hiro said "My name is Hiro Nakamura" and not say "And I'm from the future" that would've been such an awesome shout out to Season 1 Future Hiro.
9/10 simply because nothing is perfect.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't mean to break the rules with my post. Obviously everyone has their opinions, I respect that. I completely forgot about that rule, so again I apologize.

Just like every monday, I didn't see much because of WWE Monday Night Raw and Monday Night Football, but I liked the little bits that I saw..Except the Elle situation.. I'll watch the whole episode after the football game is over..
9/10 simply because nothing is perfect.
I hope u dont have a poster of Tim Kring in your bedroom.
So happy Sylar is not a Petrelli brother. Also, happy he is back to his bad self. Super soldier formula. Hmmm I think they just created Captain America.

Ok, I just watched the whole episode and I give it a 9 1/2...I would have given it a 10 if what happened to Elle didn't happen..
Litle bit more bizarre

It was a good well paced episode. Hiro's scenes have been some of the best these last few episodes. It's good in a way to have Sylar back ..but I'm sure it won't be the last we see of switching sides from any character. I think everything is back to the status quo except ....mohindar??
So, it's fair to say in the battle of Primatech Paper vs. Pinehearst biotech, and the Mama
Petrelli vs. Papa Petrelli ... Mummy Petrelli and Primatech won.
I think Papa Petrelli lost more members as well.. The next question then will be, will Sylar,
seeing as he is now on his own again, go looking to find Angela Petrelli?? Or is Angela really his mummy ?? will there be an episode called ''Our mother" ??
Shame about Elle though, she did, forgive the pun, add some electricity to the show.
It could have been the season half finale, it was that good. I hope the half finale is better:) !!!

Great episode, especially after last week's horridness. My God was last week's episode ever lame on top of lame, ugh....but this one wasn't, thankfully.
9/10
What's going on with the Ando actor's accent? I noticed he screwed up a couple lines last week (speaking in perfect english), and he did it again this week, pathetic. I blame the director for not setting him straight. Also, Hiro hanging on that pole at the end was a little repetitive/unoriginal, they did that in the first season with Matt (on a ledge). (I suppose making it a pole and at night instead of a ledge in the day makes it different? Not to me.) I was hoping the goofy clown stuff with Hiro was finished (this episode was actually the best Hiro episode to date in my opinion), but nope he's dangling from a pole at the end like a clown.

It was great to see the real Sylar back. I was tired of the needy Sylar.
It was interesting. I can't wait to see next week.

I'm so confused as to what the catalyse is.
Anyway.. I found some of the Sylar scenes in this episode to be WAY too silly.
He's that careless to walk around buildings in bloody shirts? I mean I know he really doesn't need to hide from anyone.. but, really.
Kind of reminded me of the Dark Knights joker.
Since when is Sylar loony?

I actually thought Hiros english was a bit off. I remember him being alittle better at speaking english.
After he got his memories back he still sounded like a 10 yr old to me.

^yeah I've noticed the Hiro actor messing up his accent on occasion too. Like sometimes words would come out that are spoken in perfect english. But Ando's goofups were in complete sentences, and in back to back episodes, and so stood out to me as extra goofy.

Kind of reminded me of the Dark Knights joker.Lol, the elevator scene reminded me of a similar bit in Spider-Man (not sure which one). Not sure if that was supposed to be an homage or if it was a straight ripoff, but it felt more like a ripoff to me.

This was an improvement but their were things I did not like
I gave it a 7
Sylar killing Elle does did not make sense. She could have died but not that way.
I like Sylar conflicted and as Peters brother I'm betting he still is a 1/2 brother.
Authur died to easy. By the way the bullet was not in the back of his head.
The Formula killed the 4400, but I do like the actor they turned into the super solder.
It made perfect sense Sylar killing those other people. Killing is easy for him.
I like the idea of some characters going on reserve. They can come back if and when they they can make an input. The stories would never move along if they tried to use all of them all the time.

PETE
STILL
NO
POWERS!!!
grmbl... I'm afraid they're going to wait until the end of this season with that one.
Hiro got the catalyst... only to have taken it away by Arthur minutes later and on top off all things Arthur also took Hiro's powers away!??!?!?!? WTF!!! NOT GOOD! I't s like the writeres use Hiro to get the catalyst and than take away his power becuase he's too powerfull. That's lame! Don't tell me that they never thougt that someone with the abailty to time travel and teleport could be very very powerful and able to change everything? When Arthur took the powers away by popping up next to Hiro and Claire I was thinking to myself, why didnt' he do that in the first pace with Claire. Wouldn't that be easier and more obvious. But noooooo, the writers had to come up with some ridiculouse cause of events for Arthur to take the catalyst.
Oh, and I guess the writers decided Arthur had become too powerfull also. And besides they had no more use for him. The formula is now complete.
Looks like everyone who becomes too powerfull either gets killed or has his power taken away from him.
Again. NOT GOOD WRITING!!! That's exactly why they're lettiing Sylar switch sides constantly: Err, now he's too powerfull fro the baddies. Well than we let him be bad. But now he's too powerfull for the goodies, well than Sylar becomes Gabriel again. and so on and so on and so on...
Sigh.
