Based on spoilers, Suresh is to have a major breakthrough in the next episode. I think his new serum will definately give Peter back his powers. In the tralier for the next episode it shows Suresh's hand inject a persons arm. Its probably Peter being injected.

hmm assuming your on the right track, i think the breakthrough is something that will benifet alot of people...

I thinkt the formula reverts the genes back to its normal state,rebuilding itself to its proper state, therefore:

-giving peter his power back(maybe not powers since they werent all his to begin with, although one interaction with Aurthor and hes set.)

-curing suresh of his mutation

I think his power will come back on its own. Remember, Peter's power is like a sponge. Maybe he powers are weakness serverely and needs time to recover.

What happens if instead of returning his initial ability, Peter receives a different ability?

I mean they now have the ability to give anyone any type of power they want. What happens if Nathan decides he doesn't want his brother to be that powerful. (Nathan is more dangerous than Arthur).

I personally think that Peter will get his powers back via the formula, as will Ando, who thinks he'll get Hiro's powers but in fact get the red lightning power. I also think Kaito will use the last remaining formula from his time to give stranded Hiro his powers back as well.

Also, Mohinder says an individual's powers are based off their specific blood makeup, so no, they can't choose what power you'll get, nor can anyone develop a different power than the one they started with.

I personally hope that the death of Arther means the catalyst is now gone forever, and then the remaining formula is destroyed after the people above get their powers back to end this "giving powers away" storyline for good. I'm pretty much sick of it.

Well with Arthur possibly dead and the catalyst power gone. I do not believe they will bring Arthur back for a full time roll. In the future, Arthur was dead and the formula was being used. So far this season has not change the future but this seasons mission has stayed true to what the original version of the future held for our heroes. The formula will be sold to give ordinary people powers. Peter's scare should occur by the end of the next chapter. The new evil is Nathan and his army of superpowered freaks. Either you will be with Nathan or you will be a enemy of the state.
