It did seems strange for Sylar to flip on Elle so easily. Guess he's getting less and less trusting as he goes along. Kinda creepy that he still kissed her before hurting her..... I had thought for a bit that Sylar was not going to be a monster but I guess he wants to be that way.....

oh i hope not. elle is my favorite character next to sylar and hiro. i'm hoping he just did to just scare her in some way. i also think they left it the way it is in case they do decide to bring her back. i read that kristen bell was only signed onto for several episodes this season. maybe those episodes have run its course. then again like mentioned she is considered a minor character and it's why she was always mentioned in the credits as guest starring.

Maybe Kara's stay in Smallville was too short, but at least she got a good episode and a proper sendoff.

Heroes instead seems to be heading in the same direction Smallville did last year, i.e. coming up with episodes and character developments which don't make sense at all. Why kill off Elle? Why another change in Sylar's personality? It's absurd! I cannot understand anymore whether he's good, bad, or more confused than us!!!

The Sylar storyline this year seems to have been about redemption, whether it's possible, whether it could be attained. And the writers have decided that Sylar cannot be redeemed.

The Noah Jr. future is gone, baby, gone. Like the beginning of the season indicated, it's a butterfly effect issue. The choices we make have echoes far into the future. A villainous Sylar snuffs out the possibility of being a loving father.

It's disappointing. I liked Sylar and Elle together, and I really liked the idea of Sylar reforming and choosing to be a hero. But in the end, there has to be a villain, and Sylar chose to be it.

And my friend asked me the same question that's asked earlier in the thread: if Sylar already had her ability, why would he slice her open?

Because he could. And for a villain, that's all the justification he needs.

I think he didnt kill her for now because it looks like he finaly feel some emotions but I still dont understand writers that they create this total unlogical scene Sylar was always the wild card in the game but Arthur didnt need to lie him because he is more powerfull and he have enought servants and he still can take sylars power if he could be dangerous for him

If I do recall correctly, at their staged meeting in the lab, she wanted him to open up her head and end it all. It was his 'good' natured response that brought her back from the edge. So, I do agree, she has accepted her fate, since what she was trusting in has once again gone wrong.. Sylar's hunger makes him impatient, so opening up her head will help him understand how to fully use and control the electrical power. Maybe find a secret or two, don't forget, it is a fun thing for him to do... a head cutter..

Ausiello: Kristen's return was never meant to be long term, so she was leaving one way or the other. But as I hinted in last week's AA, I wasn't expecting her exit to be so permanent. And it is permanent. Unlike 90 percent of the deaths on Heroes, this one will stick. Ironic, no?

Perhaps the next episode with start with a panicked (and repentant) Syler tapping into his blood to heal Elle. Then the next few episodes will be Syler trying to get Elle to forgive him. And then after a few episodes, because Elle is so screwed up anyway, she does forgive him, and they are together again. I really liked Gabrielle - I thought they made an awesome team and the most interesting couple we have seen in a long time.

I'm running out of reasons to watch Heroes this season. They really need to bring on some likable characters.

If she is dead I will be gutted. As for when people say why, they kind of remind me of The Joker/ Harley Quinn (Batman for those who don't know). The point is, I always thought The Joker does love Harley in the only way that he can. The Joker has tried to kill Harley before - "I've felt some changes coming over me since you entered my life. I've been reminded of what it's like to be part of a couple, to care for someone who cares for me - it's the first time in recent memory I've had those feelings... and I hate having those feelings! They're upsetting, confusing and worse, distracting me from getting my share of Gotham now that the getting's good!" What I am trying to get at is, he killed her because he needed to convince himself he was the one in control and to get rid of a distraction. I think he killed her because he cares about her and this upsets him.. if any of that makes sense.. :)

I really like Elle but now she is dead. I was hoping that maybe Claire and Elle were actually fraternal twins that may eventually discover each other needs.
