Episodes like this, with fast cutaways, and scenes of chaos, and montages are always such a pain to time
OK, my whining is now out of the way. :)

Great work, as always. Just a few nitpicks.
You forgot an m -> Lana 10, 2s
Davis/Doomsday 4m, 38s (2m, 2s as Just Davis, 4m, 38s as Doomsday)
-> Shouldn't that read 6m, 40s?

Whoops, actually I made a mistake on the Davis/Dooms. Will fix. Thanks :)

clear who was the female lead
Lois second after Clark? Bittersweet.... they needed this episode for her to say good-bye.

Its actually rare to have an episode where so many characters are over 10m. Lois may be 2nd to Clark, but Chloe, Oliver, Lana and Jimmy all had decent minutes.

Thanks BT! :)
It's kind of strange that aside from Davis, the bride and groom have the lowest screentimes. I appreciate that Lois got a nice chunk, though, because we won't be seeing her for a long, long, long...
[10 minutes later]
...long, long, long time.

It should have been called ''Bridesmaid''.

Thanks so much for these. It was the first thread I looked for right after the episode aired. I'm glad you posted it finally :D
Thanks!
Thanks, BT!

I was commiserating for you during the last couple of scenes in the barn. Lana's bloody leg got her what, three instances of half a second or something?
It should have been called ''Bridesmaid''.Heh. You're talking about Clark, right? ;)
With every one's time up in the tens of minutes you'd think there would have been more scenes with, you know, more than just two characters talking (or dancing). Seemed like the only real three person conversation was when Clark gave Chloe the boutonniere.

Well, the thing is that I set a certain rule for myself, and thats if the character is in the scene...even if they aren't necessarily being shown at the moment...it still counts. So, that whole destruction at the barn scene really does count for Lana, because the camera does cut back to her, and she's still there, even if the camera is on, say, Chimmy. But then Clark is sort of not there, because he's been thrown into the loft...
And you see why this can make you crazy?
As for those disappointed that Chloe didn't get more screentime then Lois, think of it this way...she got 29m+ in the last episode. More screentime than any other character has got in an episode this season. And she'll be a big part of the Legion. Lois wasn't even in the last episode, and won't be back for a while. So, IMO, Lois get 3 extra minutes then Chloe in the last ep she'll have for a while, coming off a week she wasn't on, doesn't seem unreasonable.

Thanks BadToad for posting the screentimes. I can't imagine the time and work you put into it, but it's much appreciated.
And thank you AgentChaos for the averages. Those are interesting to see.

Thank you, BadToad.
It's too bad that this was the season's shortest. I'm glad that Lois got some extra screentime though, especially considering we won't see her for awhile. :(
And yay for Clark having over 200 minutes now. :)

Lois should have more screen time than Chloe, and Clark should have more screen time than he's getting. IMO.
Thanks again Badtoad for taking the time to do this for Smallville fans. We realize it's time consuming but we appreciate it.:) I've done it before on Media Center also in season 6 when Clark started coming up missing. Media Center really makes it easier and quick.

Excellent work, BadToad. Lois getting lead female screen time minutes was really nice since she will be going away. Anyone have any idea's why she won't be in the next 4 episodes? Business wise, I mean. I know she will be spending her time with Jimmy (does this mean Aaron Ashmore will be gone for a few more episodes back-to-back as well?), but are they taking her out of the picture so Clark could be more heroic/supermanly without revealing his secret? Taking the two Daily Planet co-workers out of the picture gives Clark a lot of room to work and progress in his transition into Superman :)

Overall, Chloe will come out ahead, but her average might be lower than Lois' because the averages don't include eps where the characters don't appear. We won't know for sure, though, until the end of the season.

Ya know, I read comments like these, and I always wonder if I should feel insulted. Like its another way of saying "Wow, you must have no life!".
Actually, it doesn't really take that long. And I'd rewatch the eps anyway, because I like rewatching SV eps. I have a timer on Media Player, a pen, paper, calculater, and I can get the ep rewatched, and times tallied in about an hour.
Maybe it seems like a monumental, time consuming waste of time to some, but I get a kick out of it, and so do a lot of other people. Or so they tell me. :)

I think that its a little dumb that on CHLOE's and JIMMY's wedding day, CLARK and LOIS had the most screentime. But since ED won't be back for a while, I'm happy that she got some screentime in.
Thank you BadToad for rewatching the episode with your pen, paper, and calculator! :D

yeah you're right. It would have been so much better if it was called that

And that's why I don't think it should be average screentime per ep... it should be about per season.
There are 22 episodes in a season. She's already not going to be in 7 out of that 22 - that we know of... that has impact on many things and Chloe will be ahead....
Trust me, I'd much rather have Lois have a lower average & yet make an appearance in every single episode than have her 13 episodes give her more screentime in those 13 episodes than Chloe has in ALL 22 of her episodes.
Do you see what I mean? Basically, I can see no reason to begrudge Lois a few "Lois-centric" episodes here and there, when she's getting shafted over all, anyway.

I am one of those people and I appreciate your efforts, especially because I am technically challenged. And, imho, anything to do with Smallville could never be a waste of time.
Sad to know that Bride was short but it was jam packed. And it is awesome that Clark is still on top.

And that's why I don't think it should be average screentime per ep... it should be about per season.
I think that's right. It would be kind of like comparing SV's ratings with Battlestar Galactica's ratings, but instead of using SV's season average, you use the CW's average, which would be completely unfair to Smallville.
However, I do like seeing a character's average screentime compared to what it was a year ago.

I do! But I tend to believe that as long as Clark has the most screentime in every episode, then all is right with the world! At least, in terms of screentime
I'm willing to give them a break only for the episode before the one Tom is directing.

That may not be an issue this year. If they finish episode #15 before they go on their holiday break, then it should not effect Tom's screentime in that episode, as he'll have the break to prepare for episode #16. I just don't know if anyone knows for sure what they'll finish before the break.
