Final Scene, Foreshadow Clark's Future

Okay, I just rewatched the final scene which I'm posting here. If you notice when Clark is in the hospital with Lana, and Lana tells him he doesn't need to stay, he says "I know" and has a strong yet happy look on his face. Then, he sternly says to Lana, "I have to find Chloe". He gets up, walks out seemingly content.

He then runs into Lois outside and consoles her. She breaks the embrace and walks away. The look on his face when she leaves is clearly suggesting that he is upset she is going. I believe this is the first of many moments we're going to see of Clark starting to feel more for Lois and less for Lana. Watch for yourself.

yeah i liked the music at the end hehe i was wondering were they gonna make any episodes with music at the end of an episode and now it came :-). Yeah clark does have feelings for lois but i guess it's denial right now lol. They're both trying to deny it and hide it. Soon they will open up. I thought they were gonna kiss and was surprised when they didn't.

that scene was just heartbreaking. i felt lois' pain; chloe's all gone and stuff. :(

yeah I agree, and lets not forget the "please dont take your love away from me" just as Lois is walking away

When Smallville uses songs with lyrics to match the mood, its always a man when its Clark PoV

when it cuts to Lana it says "this ship is sinking"

Then it cuts to doomy and chloe, and the "please dont take your love away" again, I think this is doomys PoV here.

cut to Lana

Take away the pain as I want it?..not sure about what he sings here

Cut to Lois walking away

"I understand", camera pans up to Lois
"please dont take you're love away from me." as she's walking away.

i think the final scene was suggesting alot about how things are going to go down. I agree with you

and boy did i hear it wrong, the man really mumbles when he sings but its beautiful and still, i think its fitting to the scenes and clark's PoV and then doomys Pov

All this^^ is when clark is watching Lois leave his life, Lois is what he needs. And he'll realize it when she's not there to look at. He'll realize it was Lois from the start..

When it cuts to Lana^^ IMo expressing Clana's closuue and the untaimed Land that is lois/clois, also it merges with Lois leaving, "I understand"

IMo that was clear cut, this part plays when it pans up to Lois leaving clark's life.

That song was perfect for the scene! There was much more emotion in Clark's eyes when Lois was leaving. He practically sprinted out of Lana's hospital room!;)

We're looking at the beginning of him getting over Lana and moving onto Lois FINALLY!
