Clark needs to be in the habit of being vague, incase suddenly someone forgets. It's like everyone has a burden of knowing Clark's secret, and Clark has a burden when someone else knows, so he's always talking in a way that if someone miraculously forgets he can just pretend nothing happened.

Clark was being sensitive to Ollie's parents death. I often use the words "pass away" rather than "died" to people who has lost someone. Ollie needs to forgive and get on with his life before it ruins him. I never laugh when it comes to death. I have lost too many close family members and laughing about dying is a low blow.

i wouldn't laugh at anyones death too.. it was just the Sarcastic undertone that Ollie had when he said "It's called Murder"..

I would also not be surprised if Clark is worried because he hasn't shared the reason Oliver's parents are dead. Oliver knows that Lionel killed them, but I don't think he knows why. And thats the question he should be asking himself as it again places some blame on Clark. If he had never come to earth, Lex would have probably grown to a much more mentally adjusted grown up. Lana's parents would still be alive, Chloe would still be working at the DP, Lois, who knows, she never would have come to SV though and gotten into Journalism, that's a definite. And Oliver's parents would still be alive.
