I think this is so because he's (Davis) actually a great guy but he's just struggling with the evil alien monster inside of him. This causes a dilemma for Clark as he knows he has to kill Doomsday because he will never stop, but he can't just kill an innocent like that right? This season is all about Clark's evolution into a hero and this will be key to him becoming Superman.
Also, i cant remember the last time a villain put so much fear into all the characters and make them fell so helpless and feel so much pain and peril.

hes good stepping stool for Clark to really embrace his Superman destiny.. all though i really hate how he walks they really need too minimize the amount he does in any further episodes.

I love Doomsday, it's such a difference then having a backstabbing employeer(Lex or Tess) and rather an actual Superman enemy. One thing they can't do with Doomsday though is kill him. Too early in Clark's life and on the show it would probably end up being really cheesy.

They could kill him, infact they could kill him thousands of times, he's just gonna come back stronger each time.

hmmmm, i wouldnt like to see them put him in the phantom zone, perhaps Clark could freeze him in the Fortress of Solitude, or throw him through one of those gates across space that Kryptonians used to quick travel around the 26 known galaxies.

The first thing I thought when I looked at the thread name was "Dark" the character is dark.
I would love for him to return in Season Nine.

Boom Tubes would be what your looking for.
We say one used by Brainiac and Kara in Veritas.

I'd love for Doomsday, Brainiac, Lex, and whoever else they bring on to stick around. Maybe have a bloody all out brawl between Brainiac's guys and Superman's guys in the finale.
I'd guess that Darkseid will be the big bad in season nine, but the more the merrier. Brainiac works well anywhere, Lex is just Lex, and Doomsday is pretty cool, being the first Live Action version and all. Smallville can have a real good Villains run without the need for someone to switch sides every other week.

Yeah, Darkseid will probably be the main villain in Season Nine.
