View Full Version : Homecoming?

Anyone notice that when Clark gave Chloe the corsage he said it was from homecoming? As I seem to recall, it was their Spring Formal. At homecoming he was tied up in a field and then he got into a scuffle with the electricity guy. Then he trashed Whitney's truck. Pretty big oversight since that was the Pilot episode.

oops i guess the writers made a little goof, which they have done many times in the past. But continuity to past events and things have been going great this yr compared to other yrs.

Oh no doubt, I just felt it had to be mentioned.

That kinda made me mad. Spring formal, spring formal, spring formal! Then again Clark is a guy so remembering which dance wouldn't be a priority... but no he's into football so still inexcusable. ;)

PS3 should look at previous episodes if they bring up stuff from the past again..

Clark was thinking of Lana at the time, he was probably scrambling to remember which one it was and didn't want to just say dance so it seems more significant. Chloe wouldn't argue if she remembered otherwise as she knows she just had a bout of amnesia.

Hey, so the poor guy forgot which dance it is from, at least he saved the flower! How sweet was that?

NOT Homecoming, Chloe went to Homecoming with Pete... Homecoming was the premiere episode, Spring Formal was the finale episode.

Those little details should be noted writers, NOTED!

Sorry, but a lot of the misinformed information in this episode really bugged me... there's already threads on the nonsense of Oliver's and Lana's IT knowledge.

These writers don't try to even reference back to things do they? A simple google search could had gone a long way. :p

She did. it was in the episode Tempest. You know where Clark & Chloe almost kiss. LOL! at them trying to copy something else of Chlark with EDLo again. The ripping off of Chlark scenes has gotten ridiculous at this point.

It's especially bad since the history & emotional depth belongs to Chloe & Clark, the copying comes off as lame.

It's ridiculous that the fans can recall these details and the writers can't even though the information is readily available to them. Unbelievable.

I have a couple of thoughts to this.

First, I think maybe the writers went with homecoming because it sounds more prominent than spring formal.

Second, shouldn't Allison and Tom have caught that one as well? They should know what their characters have done, and shouldn't have just let that one go.

It's possible that Clark deliberately said 'home coming' because he was checking Chloe's memory and if she would correct him on the mistake or not.

HA :) The writers always slip up with things like this...it's alright though.

I'm sure they caught that and many other mistakes these writers make but they really don't have the power to change the script unless the writers are willing to yield.

I don't think the actors watch the DVDs over and over again like we fans do. They are not that obsessed with themselves! ;)

i was thinking the same thing... is there a way to ask to the writers about this??? maybe it was in purpose, or what?

Yeah, I was hoping once they did Abyss with all the crap how Brainiac was trying to rob Chloe of her history we would be done with this spree of SWF, but I guess not.

I did enjoy how they had a scene of Lois telling how stupid she felt to Ollie that mirrored the scene of Chloe telling how stupid she felt to Pete. You'd think if they are interested enough to go back and do all this, they'd reference the right event.

 Funny. I don't see Lois storming off in anger, making a deal to betray Clark and getting her own column handed to her.

Scenes of such disgraceful behavior are meant for one character on this show.

Poor Chloe couldn't drink herself into oblivion, being underage. Give Lois time to catch up with the other SWF. At least Lois has run off with Jimmy to lick her wounds. I'm pretty sure I've seen that somewhere before too.

It was just a small error. We still got the point.
