Did DD superspeed to the FOS? Doomsday's powers?

I mean the steps I heard from the time that the punch bowl started shaking seemed pretty slow, kind of like King Kong. All of a sudden he's at the FOS. Perhaps he has a portal or something. It just seems unlikely that some huge monster can superspeed. I don't recall him doing that on my Doomsday cartoon but maybe I'm not remembering it correctly.

In the comics Doomsday was superfast. There were remarks like "He's swifter than flash." thrown around when he first came onto the scene.

When he fought the Justice League on the way, he did nothing more than beat them with brute strength.

When i read the Life and Death of Superman I couldn't recall there being any mention of him super speeding. Maybe Brainiac did summon him there someway because he had to get there rather quickly to avoid Chloe freezing over like an icicle.

Yeah, he mostly just pounded on people because he could take anything that the other heroes could dish out and more, but he was able to dodge blows from Supes, which IMO makes him have superspeed, at least to some degree.

I believe he ran to the Fortress. Doomsday cannot fly but he does have superspeed. He can also leap long distances. During the first battle in 1992 the then Justice League commented that Doomsday's speed was truly amazing. They couldn't see him move and it was said he was faster than Flash.

I didn't think of that. Is it possible then that because there was a crowd witnessing him that he punched a human CK punch? After all, if he threw him a super punch it's hard to believe that it would have no effect on DD. It certainly did in the cartoon. If Superman in Superman Returns can dive down into the heart of the earth and pick up a small growing planet and hurl it into outer space it would seem that Clark could catch DD by the tail, spin him around a few times and hurl him into the nitrozone. Is there really such a thing as a nitrozone??

No, there is no such thing as a nitrozone.

Also, Clark didn't punch him at superspeed. In fact, he usually doesn't punch anything at superspeed. He just walks up and punches stuff.

The cartoon has nothing to do with this. It doesn't relate to anything else at all really, it was a stand alone story, that wasn't even a good version of the death and return.

Doomsday has superspeed. In the death and return comics, Clark and Doomsday's whole fight, only lasts like fifteen or twenty minutes. They cover many states, and in Metropolis, Luthor's goons comment on how they can't help, because they can't even see Doomsday and Superman, because they are moving too fast.

Yes yes, on the moon. I heard he supposedly came back recently? And people saying that he can catch Superman/CK's punches doesn't mean he has superspeed, it just means he has super reflexes. But you're right, he has superspeed.

Where does one keep 10,000 comic books? Do you have a separate house for them? What kind of a filing system would one have for that? Thanks however for making me feel less extreme in my love of Superman. You've really got the Supes.
