haha i mean seriously davis u put the dead body in a bag. okay fine. but u dont even use a GOOD bad. try hefty lol. the blood and juices were just squishing and pouring out. sorry for the graphics but i mean human bodies are not meant for flimsy plastic bags. something of sturdier quality is needed. if you gonna kill someone at least hide the evidence so the blood wont spill eveyrwhere.

I'd say the whole DD thing. I mean not one person said "what was that" or "a monster is roaming loose with Chloe". All silly

Yeah well I don't think he's gonna stop by home depot and decide which bag is the best quality for putting human remains in. The only part of the episode that was less enjoyable for me was when that random dude came out in Ollie's plane.

It wasn't really a silly moment, but when Lois slow walked away from Clark with the music playing in the backround, and then she turns around and looks at him  it was so dramatic that I laughed.
Of course I was also heartbroken for Lois.

Yeah I am sure Davis after coming out of his blackout and finding himself covered in blood was like "Gee hefty or just the generic brand" to keep the juices from spilling out of the bag  COme on the guy is in shock he's discovering his a "monster" I dont think he had time to analyze and plan out where he would stash the bodies. Plus He's new at this evil thing give him a break. He'll do better next time :p

The kryptonite made us laugh out loud. What is the guy thinking? Even if he wants a piece around for some kind of insurance, wouldn't he find a safer place for it?
The more I think of this, the more annoyed I get. They couldn't show us Clark getting his butt whooped. Instead, they showed Clark writhing on the loft floor from his own green K.

Exactly,LOL. Once I felt something shaking, I would've been outta there. Not stand there and wonder what it was.
For me, the silliest part was the polls. If you haven't seen the episode, watch it or at least exit the short bus long enough to download it before commenting on it. Hello...Duh.
I really want to be rude and vulgar, but I think my post will be edited.

I hope Clark burried all his secrets well, because the cops will be combing over that crime scene.
Oh, wait, never mind. The barn will probably be rebuilt next ep and no one from any government organization will come by to investigate why a huge monster murdered about a dozen people at the barn of a U.S. SENATOR. You would think CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News, and about a trillion more news agencies would be on that scene like roaches at a restaurant.

In response to the choices...
The guy filming kind of sort of makes sense if he was a photographer like Jimmy. This, sadly, is a story.
I don't think Jimmy was looking for Chloe earlier. He went there to get his bowtie, but was calling her to find out where she was.
Lois really only told Ollie. I think Chloe isn't stupid and could guess Lois has a thing for Clark. Jimmy obviously knows, so does Ollie. I wonder if Lana saw them about to kiss?
I actually enjoyed Lana as they have written her more matured. I'm curious what her backstory is and who is texting her. I will admit I screamed at my TV when she inturrupted the kiss. That much enough won my vote. Sorry Lana.
GA not being able to tell a difference about the dummy and human, well let's be honest. Sometimes Ollie can be a Big Dumb Human. :)
I did enjoy Lana's kung fu because it shows how much different she is. We know she knows some self defense, so to see it utilized tastes like sweet, sweet continuity.
If I were Clark, I would still keep Green K in the barn because sometimes it has it's uses. Especially against himself and other kryptonians. For a dying race there still are a bunch of them around.
Gabe? I wish I knew. Maybe he died? Who knows? Moira? Well Moira is still in an asylum, maybe dead, we know Lex did some brain drain on her to get that control cocktail that was used on Chloe and Ollie in "Odyessy".
Davis idily stashing bodies around won my other vote. AND the dumb dumb also throws his rubber gloves in there WITH his prints. STUPID! Although really, it's not that bad, the directors and editors did a good job on making a Doomsday Massacre not too much on the gory side.

I thought it was pretty dumb of Davis to remove his gloves after putting the human slurry mix in that dumpster, then leaving his fingerprints by closing the lid with his hands.
He thought enough to wear them when carrying the bags, then stripped them off and tossed them in with the bags, used his hand and closed the lid.

11-21-2008, 01:32 AM
I voted for the obvious ones above but I didn't see the one in particular I was thinking about. I was laughing when Jimmy walked in on Chloe getting ready for the wedding followed by the camera guy and Chloe is 1/2 naked changing, and Jimmy is oblivious to his buddy filming and when Jimmy asks him to leave; he says something like "c'mon Jimmy." It's like he wanted to say "Jimmy; she's almost naked...let me stay and watch.
Basically: I agree with amalie. I thought that was so hilarious & disturbing they didn't even care he was watching everything from Jimmy panicking to Chloe dressing??

A few things I found Silly...most of you said:
- The guy in Oliver plane who used Wi-fi to download the data from that device...come on that was pretty silly. Who was he anyway? lol
- When Jimmy came into the room when Chloe was changing and he allowed his buddy to film the whole time...whats up with that?
- The kryptonite stopping Clark fighting Doomsday...it would have been better to see Clark struggle to fight Doomsday. That way if and when Clark and Doomday do have an "Epic Battle" later in the season, it could be seen that Clark is going to fight the fight of his life.

There were quite a few in this episode.
I'm still pissed that neither Oliver nor Lana really bat an eye over Clark wiping Chloe's memories. I think both of them should have reason to call Clark out on that whole thing.
And the guy on the plane able to download information from the router via WiFi, when the device was not connected to anything, or plugged in/powered Clark was just holding it.
The whole wedding in the barn.
The fact that Chloe actually married Jimmy. (blech)
No Shelby.
Lana using her Lana-Fu on GA, and woops.. his hood and glasses fly off, when that's never happened in any altercation we've seen before not even with Clark or Lex.
Oliver pimping Clois, when he knows the reason they broke up was because she couldn't handle being with him as a hero wanting to save the world, AND he doesn't think humans can handle the whole alien thing. Very odd thing for him to do, given what we've seen previously, IMO.

Mostly everything was fine appart from Davis' finmger prints and the aweful technical stuff.
Should smallville not at least have one slightly informed IT person when making the script? I mean even my little sister asked me, "Can they do that when the power is off? It seems silly!"

There were a lot. I guess Clark keeps kryptonite in his desk in case an evil Kryptonian pays him a visit. Lana's Lana Fu is in top form because she just finished filming a martial arts movie in Thailand. lol! Davis calls Chloe while cleaning up carnage in a public place. I would have focused on the clean-up first with both hands free, but that's just me.

The Part with Davis and the bloody bag for every one to think it was silliy. I honestly think he was too freaked out to even notice. He just killed two people and just getting ride of any of the evidence was his top priority. Doing it like some of the villians in CSI are kinda pushing it.
People saying they will find his finger prints on top of the lid, they will and about a thousand other ones too.

You know it makes me think of people who are watching people hurt when there is an accident. They make voyeurism and it is really something I can stand. I can't tell you how many times the photographer is invited into the bride's quarters to film/take photos of her getting dressed. (The bride will strip to her undergarments and put her gown on without any hesitation.) I don't like the practice, but it is not uncommon. When I was taking photos for a friend's wedding I stopped before that point and took pics again when her mom came in to help place the veil, after she had her gown on, but others never stopped......

I don't recall seeing Shelby in the episode. Or were you kidding when you said it?

I say to the camera guy, ''run, NOW". Maybe he was afraid he would start sliding from the stuff running down his legs. If it had been George from Seinfeld, he would have been clearing a path with fallen women to get out of the barn, FIRST.
I think we saw the Lana Fu cause Kristin was still jack up from her movie. It probably explains the new "do". Not sure I like the hair but glad she came back to give Clark the heave ho in person instead of her usual video kiss off.
I think Clark keeps the green K around in case he gets around red or silver K. It gives his friends a weapon to knock him down, when necessary.

I was about to mention this. I think it makes sense that he would still have it, but he oughta keep it in a safer place. He should have it in a hidden lockbox that only his mother and the JL know the combo to or something. Having it out is like keeping a vial of cyanide in your desk.

The way GA has been tricked by the oldest stunt in the book, the Lana fu is getting ridiculous at this point and Lana(mostly Kristen) should stop using the low-cratchy voice that she develloped ever since Isobel.

For me the silliest moment in the episode was Clark giving Chloe away. Chloe has a father, PS3! Gabe couldn't be bothered to come to his own daughter's wedding! Where was the father of the bride?! He should have at least been there, even if Chloe did want Clark to give her away instead.
Also, why would Chloe be married in Clark's barn? OK, so now that she works for Isis she doesn't make much money so she'd need a cheap place but Clark's barn?! WTF?

I think of silly as being funny and I had to chuckle at Jimmy over reacting to seeing Chloe before the wedding. I always thought a groom couldn't see his bride in her wedding dress and Chloe didn't have hers on yet. What was with the guy filming Chloe in her under clothes. Chloe didn't seem to mind at all. STRANGE

I think someone else posted this too - but for me it was seeing a whole barn full of people attending Chloe and Jimmy's wedding. Where the hell did they get these people??? And who the hell are these people??? It's like the TPTB only added all these people just so they could DIE when Doomsday showed up! The writers probably sat in a windowless room and said to themselves...we need people to die once Doomsday shows up so let's invent family and friends for Chloe and Jimmy.

i can understand Clark keeping Green K around just in case... i can even understand a memoryless Chloe getting it out and joking about using it as her something blue (somewhat reluctantly)
what i can't understand is why, after that, it was obviously left out... after that happened surely he would have moved it somewhere safer... or at least put it back in the drawer so that it couldn't be simply knocked over and render him useless
pretty silly

Who would know that a monster would come to Chloe's wedding. Hindsight is always better than foresight. Maybe he was already thinking about Lois and completely forgot to put the green K away. What I really think is the writters needed a reason to render Clark helpless and that was the best they could come up with so don't blame Clark for an easy solution.

the only way? how bout just having Doomsday's unexpected strength take Clark by surprise and knock him out...
...or for that matter, why did he have to be helpless at all... why not just have the whole scene have been a bit more dramatic. Clark is thrown, doomsday makes towards Chloe... Clark comes back to him, tries a couple more punches that do seem to have a little affect before Doomsday delivers him a blow that causes him to double over... Clark then attempts to use his heat vision on Doomsday but gets a punch in the face which sends him to the floor. Doomsday then hurts Jimmy and swiftly escapes with his prize
but yeah, i can see why green k was easier than that... it's just kinda lame and kinda silly

I agree. That's actually what I was expecting. That Doomsday would pick up Clark and hurl him out the window or something. (Kind of like how Kara did it to him and the fights that he had with Bizarro and Brainiac.)
I thought that Doomsday would just knock him out & in that moment, Doomsday would make off with Chloe. The Green K thing seemed to be stuck in there to give Lana a reason to "save" Clark. (Complete with crawling up the stairs with a leg injury.)
I don't know if it's a budget thing or what... but they owe me a massive Doomsday/Clark Kent fight. This was terrible.
I have to say, though, I thought the two silliest moments were:
(1) A guy hacking into the non-working router that Clark had in his hands.
(2) Lana Lang takes down the Green Arrow - and then gives him a lecture on ethics.

Lana coming back in this episode is not a bad thing IMO. Let's face it, the writers seriously screwed the Lana character in this story. I know all shows need drama and such, but her character has been written so inconsistenly that it makes your head spin.
For me, it's having a barn full of family and friends attending Chloe and Jimmy's wedding. And Clark still keeping kryptonite in his desk drawer. And Chloe's father not making an appearance. Actually, if you stop and think about it, there were lots of silly moments.

I voted for Lana-Fu. I’m OK with her coming back being a “more mature and strong person” as PS3 indicated but strong as I-can-kick-hell-out-of-Green-Arrow-and-demask-him-in-10-seconds??! It wasn’t believable AT ALL and I think she doesn’t have to suddenly turn into Chun-Lee to be “strong”. Just imo.

Like Alania skip the part she mentioned above, I haven't re-watched this Oliver/Lana part again ever since. Sorry for my inaccurate comment.
But I still think it's the silliest moment of this epi, not only because of Lana kick his butt part, but also because she lectures Green Arrow about what it means to be a superhero.

To be honest with you, Tomo, i never, not once saw that Oliver/Lana scene. So ridiculosly absurd that i didn't even bother to watch it. I'm still mad at Oliver for convincing Lana to let go the kung-fu act and attend Chimmy's wedding, cause i know he's the guilty one for Lana's unfortunate appearance there! lol. I knew I'm not the only one who skip that part! But wait....you said, "never"?!
For Ollie bringing Lana to the wedding reception, actually I'm not angry at all. Clark needed to deal with Lana before he starts relationship with Lois, so I'm happy she came back before anything happens between Clark and Lois. Now what I need to see is a good solid (and permanent) closure of Clana without regressing or damaging Clark's character.
I don't know why but I'm still optimistic about Lana-arc. I think (and hope) it will bring some good, positive changes for Clark, Lana and Lois in the end. :D

I think my biggest problem with Lana returning is her hair. What is going on with that hairstyle? At least before she was really good looking, sure she was an annoying character, but always very pretty. On the good side it might make it easier for Clark to break up with her, but seriously, unless she was trying to make herself less attractive no one in their right mind would choose that style. I'm reminded a little bit of Joe Dirt.....

The silliest moment is the appearance of this intergalactic lizard that is so fake looking and when they do a closeup of his hand it looks like something bought at Wal Mart for Halloween. It really denigrates the wonderful story of the Man of Steel when all of these stupid cartoon characters are introduced. It trivializes and demeans the legend of Superman. They should keep those for a cartoon series and not for the drama that Smallville is.

No doubt - those were downright embarrassing -
For example...anyone care to take a stab at the math involved in 430K megagigs?
1 gigabyte is 10 to the power of 9, or 1 billion
1 megabyte is 10 to the power of 6, or 1 million
430,000 x 1 million x 1 billion = 4.3 x 10 to the power of 20 bytes of RAM:rotfl:
I wonder if I can get one of those servers that has .43 zettabytes of onboard RAM from my local computer store...:rotfl:
They just threw ethernet cables in there because it sounds technical...
...as for the other guy, he must have been a meteor freak who could remotely power on an uncabled router, run an imaginary ethernet connection with his mind to his bluetooth head set, break the security and download imaginary information with it, all in less than 30 seconds...not that the router would really contain anything valuable.
