I have noticed that waffles have been used throughout the series. Is there a story or significance behind this?

I have recipes for chocolate and I think gingerbread. They both sound delicious,
but I'm leaning towards gingerbread.

Anyway, it's interesting that waffles seem to be a recurring theme.
Kind of cute, too. I mean, who doesn't like waffles?
(I didn't when I was a kid, then I came to love them. Oh, delicious waffles
covered in syrup and whipped cream.-Yes, I use both, not just one.
Butter is also a must.:p)
