That he could kill or even take brainiac out of chloe...he only said he could transform the kryptonian code back into memories but he NEVER said it would cure her of the infection. In fact he said it was dangerous to everyone to even try it but Clark didn't care. So somebody please correct me if I am wrong but i have watched the ep 4 times and not once does he ever claim to remove brainiac from chloe...not once.

No, he didn't. He just sucked the black liquid out of her brain and at the same time opened the fortress to brainiac's contamination. In fact, he warned Clark that Brainiac was highly impredictable. So, maybe, Chloe is still infected, the fortress is now possessed by Brainiac and Doomsday is coming. Clarky is all alone.
Don't you love this show?

My thoughts were that Jor-El didn't suck brainiac out of her but he left her of his own accord. He let Jor-El fix her (or maybe she isn't fixed cause brainiac took over and then we saw the white flash so it may have been that Brainiac was already in control of the fortress at this point. I was just confused cause people kept saying that Jor-El had killed brainiac but that wasn't what i had seen and also some people are acting like Jor-El lied and he didn't IMO he just said he would give her back her memoires and from there he didn't know what would happen...he is just an AI after all:p

wow, you're right, I didn't realize that brainiac left by himself. Even better. There is a thread about how well Brainiac played Clark. He's brilliant.

yeah i think brainiac manipulated the whole thing just so that he can takeover the fortress while still keeping a bit of him/it in chloe...

Nice one. I guess it's another test for Clark or him calling Jor-El "father" was useless.

I'm pretty sure he left Chloe. He wanted to use all that is left of him no doubt to take over the fortress.

You're absolutely right. I don't know why Clark is foolish enough to think everything's all "hunky-dory" now. :\

Time will tell.

What bugs me is Clark acted like leaving the code in there was benign. Forget stripping memories for a moment, he left in code from the computer entity that grew to take her over in the first place. Another show might have had the AI not point out this danger. But with Jor El, the more cryptic the better the learning experience.

the script:
Clark: Brainiac was not destroyed. He managed to infect one of my friends and now he's taking her over.
Jor-el: I can translate the Kryptonian code corrupt in your friend's mind back into human memories, however, the being you call Brainiac is highly unpredictable. it poses a tremendous threat to all of us. There is no way of knowing what the outcome will be. Are you willing to take that risk?

Thanks.. and also isn't it in one of the spoilers for 'Legion' that they'll be trying to seperate chloe from brainiac

I also find the way Jor-El refers to Brainiac, the being you call Brainiac, highly interesting. Why would Jor-El say that? Jor-El is the one that explained to Clark about what Brainic is back in season 5. This whole episode makes me think that the crystal that Clark used to rebuild the fortress is either a replica and manipulated in some way by the individual who who stole the crystal from Tess and sent it to Clark in Bloodline. Part of me thinks Chloe, or should I say Brainiac using Chloe, is the one who did something to the crystal when she activated the crystal in Bloodline to bring Clark back from the Phantom Zone.

No Correction.. Jor-El refers to Brainiac as THE BRAIN INTERACTIVE CONSTRUCT.. Raya first used the name brainiac

I know...However, Ray was Jor-El's assistant back on Krypton. So, if she used that term, then Jor-El would know that. The term Brainiac should be new to Jor-El. So, Jor-El saying the being YOU call Brainiac is suspicious to me.

i think he said the being you call brainiac because he (jor-el) calls him the brain interactive construct. Also it is possible that there is nothing left in chloe but doomsday could always bring her to the new fortress for a little update infection...just a thought seeing as how the last few seconds apparently contain a twist.

He said he "could translate the code".
