Atleast we only have to wait a week..Just think what it would be like if today's show was the last in the 1st run of new shows and there wouldn't be anything new until January!!

At least it's only a week-long wait. I bet we'll all be dying to watch the episode AFTER Bride and that'll be a whole month!

does anyone else see this as the best season ever up to this point?? it seems like every episode leaves you wondering and wanting more. whomever is in charge has the right idea when it comes to the ending of the episodes. i think that this is what was missing in the other seasons... the episodes (all of them) end with a much higher supsense and/or interesting feel to them.... any one else with me?

I think its because there is so much more history and things going for clark and the charachters that it is really impossible not to want more, but yes the endings and overload of information are ingenious, although the writers do make me mad with their silly plotholes. eeekkk!

Heck ya!
I love how they start the episodes with a recap as if they were premiers! Brilliant job! I think it is one of the BEST episodes EVER! Lets keep up the GREAT JOB NEW EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS! You are AWESOME!

The new producers are TOTALLY amazing. This season is the best. I was hoping they would end it this year and make him Superman but now i'm considering hoping for a Season 9 or perhaps they should end it when its this good.........
AND THEN DO A MOVIE!

^ That would be sweet!
Does anybody know what happened with the lawsuit that the Superman creators families filed? Are they in control of Smallville in some degree now?

*sighs* I'm already dying! I can't believe how fantastic this season has been. I've loved Smallville for a very long time, but I don't think I've ever felt so anxious about seeing an upcoming episode, never have I felt so helpless over a winter hiatus. I am addicted to this show.
I can put up with waiting until January 16 for BattleStar Galactica - I can certainly wait a week for the next episode of Smallville.

I can beat that- I've waited almost 2 years for the upcoming season of 24. Waiting a week is nothing compared to that.

It is not this week we should be thinking about. If bride is and probably will be everything it has been promised, i really think that January might feel light years away...

i have to ask, why is there always that month before they air the rest of the seasons?

TV ratings are lower in the month of December because of the holidays, so most shows don't air new eps during that time. They save the big stuff for February sweeps.

This is EASILY the best season of Smallville. Like I said in a diff thread, Im a 30 year old geeking out again. Man I havent stopped thinking about this episode since last night. I watched it twice, and the trailer for Bride about a dozen times.
They are NAILING Doomsday. This episode could have easily been the one before a season finale, but its only Mid season!
So anxious to see what kind of arc they are starting with Brainiac infecting the fortress, and if it will last the rest of season or if Clark will solve it next week.
Also, the upcoming Legion episode, more MM sotrylines, etc... (notice no mention of Lana - the one dark spot on this season is her coming back)

Ive been loving every minute of season 8. I loved every season and have been watching for years but the new producers are doing an amazing job! Keep up the great work

Its been an amazing string of episodes if you throw out Toxic. Best ever is a high standard though: I loved S3 and S5 (despite the clunker episodes in each). And despite all its flaws, I thought S7 was pretty awesome too. It helps that Tom has gotten so much better as an actor over time.

I actually think they gave away too much in the preview showing Doomsday...I figured they could have teased him without showing his face. I'm surprised they showed him in the preview. It did add to the hype and thankfully I was out of town for most of the week and just watched the episode today so I only have to wait 24 hours for the new episode.
