I know it was Brainiac, but if they just totally forget about that whole incident thats a major plothole, or just a lame way of telling us the Braniac was taking over?

Now that we see Chloe's memory loss in more detail... maybe Chloe thought touching Sebastian would have the same effect on his mind. So... she didn't know it would kill him she just thought he'd lose some short term memory.

Does anyone have an idea what happened with this story? The way Abyss went down last night suggested that maybe Chloe has never been completely taken over as of yet.So she knew what she was doing when she killed him.Or at least a part of her did.Maybe Brainiac forces her to act out of character but if that's the case, the only un-Chloe like thing she did was kill Sebastian.

Well in one part of the ep it made it seem like Chloe had been forgetting bits and pieces of her life over a span of time throughout the season thus far? Jimmy even said she had been forgetting little things such as places, names and what not so that could only suggest that Brainiac has been influencing Chloe for awhile now. Which makes me conclude that when she killed Sebastian she was reacting out of loyalty for Clark but not in the way Chloe would but in the way Brainiac would by which would be by killing the threat that Sebastian created for Clark.
So yes chlarked_foever89 I think that was the first real sign that Brainiac was taking her over aside from her sudden high IQ burst which showed he had infected her someway and did throw hits that he may take her over but the scene with Sebastian really showed he was having his way with Chloe.

Me too. Why would Brainiac help Clark?
I wonder whether it will ever be mentioned again.

Maybe brainiac intentions weren't to help Clark but to influence Chloe's actions. As we know Brainiac is ruthless and will kill anyone or anything that doesn't fit in his plan. So maybe Chloe had the thought of getting rid of Sebastian all along and Brainiac's influence just pushed her towards doing it because we know if Chloe was herself and had no Brainiac in her she wouldn't resort to killing a man and besides she wouldn't have been able to kill him the way she did without Brainiac inside of her.
I think it was Brainaic who "protected" Clark by "killing" that guy.. He needed Clark to release Zod's wife's phantam who then in turn would set Doomsday free from Davis' subconscience who then in turn would release Zod to destroy/concur the Earth?

After watching Abyss I see that scene in a whole new perspective. It's interesting that Chloe's words to sebastian describe exactly what happened to her. When a computer gets overloaded, it crashes. She crashed the Isis system before going to see Sebastian, then she fried Sebastian's brain and then, by refusing to accept Clark's help, she ended frying her own brain. What of this was Brainiac's doing and what was her own? I don't know. But I see a great paralelysm in that hospital scene and what finally happened to Chloe.
I wouldn't be surprised is Lana is infected too, just like Chloe, but she chose to stay as far away from Clark as she could so she wouldn't represent a threat to him (poor Lana, always sacrificing herself). Chloe knew this was coming, she knew her brain was getting fried, but she persisted, allowing Brainiac to take over her completely.

I really wish they would have addressed this and maybe they still will but it definitely needs to be addressed (like kara falling on the floor in pain last year and then it was NEVER talked about )
