Ok ok ok ok. I saw this episode, like you have no idea, how many times. I think this very same episode killed all of Season 8. I mean how extraordinary it was. Its better than watching a movie. I loved the whole fact that they went back in time with Chloe and Clark. If you take a really good look at Clark as a kid, he looks exactly like the boy that played Clark in the Superman Returns Movie. But anyways, enough of that, lets get to the point of this thread. Now has anyone actually really noticed, that every time that Clark re-stores the fortress, it always seems togo back down again? Does anyone think how good it feels to finally see everything come together? I mean Jor-El tells Clark,"Good job son." And Clark finally calling him, "Father." I mean that scene almost made me cry...lol. Of course, then brainiac ruins the moment. Or what about when all the flash backs that we see from the past seasons, it makes you want to watch them all over again, and just say, "Wow!!! Look how far we have gone." It truly is incredible.:D:D

I know man! I thought that we'd never be able to see Clark accept his destiny! lol

I suspect eariler this season, we would see this scene where Clark finally accepts calling Jor-El father...becuase Jor-El's Fortress spirit is the only father-figure Clark has left since Jonthan and Lionel are dead. Simply the scene was brillant!

I thought about Johns Jones, but he is more like a godfather to Clark, more than a father figure.

i think jor-el was waiting for Clark to act like a true kryptonian... a man in human language. He was waiting for Clark to react to things in a mature manner rather than so emotional. thats why he kept telling clark that "human learned emotions" where his weakness. he wanted clark to be rational and manly. which he finally was. he spoke to his father like an adult, he put his foot down so to speak and told his father he didnt appreciate all the punishments like he was a child. he wanted to be respected and know he is. will be when clark retakes the fortress back from brainiac.

I think that losing Lex off the series actually helped Clark progress more. Lex was such a powerful figure that they couldn't give both Lex's development and Clark's maturation process enough time to correctly tell their respective stories with both still on the series. Lex eventually had to leave to allow Clark the time to grow up.
