you should watch the trailer again. The protrusions werent as out there as the comics version, but they were there. I like how the doomsday looks. He looks kind of similar to the comics. its better than i thought it would be.

I kinda liked it I dont think they shoulda showed all of him in the preview. But he looked like the comic book version to me, they coulda added more suspense to the preview tho like in Prey

It is awesome that they are using an actual alien bad guy, and not a a regular person with funny clothes that is supposed to be an alien, but the CGI looks cheap. I think they could have gone the Lou Feriigno/Hulk route and had better results. Hopefully I am speaking too soon, I just don't want to see Clark fighting a cartoon.

I wonder how Doomsaday will be defeated within Clark's means, but without tainting his role in the future of Superman lore.

I didn't see the first shot of Doomsday, that was a guy in a suit, but the second looks like CGI, the screen cap look alright, but in motion on TV it looked like cheap CGI to me.

Doomsday looked very awesome to me. The only CGI I noticed were his glowing red eyes. Everything else looked like a costume. It's going to be funny when you see the episode and see it was really a man in a suit and not some cheap CGI :lol:

first let me say to all you na-sayers who hated on the idea of doomsday i said it then you need to wait to see what smallville does with him. and what if any of you saw the previews for next weeks episode you'll see ... to my knowledge he is exactly what the comics look like. and the fact that he looks human now.. so does clark and he's and alien .. im pretty sure if you can't tell already his human side was only meant for a disguise but i would like to know what has kept him human up till now and what is making him turn nw at the time in his life.;

Ya, that was JM but he wasn't credited, probably to add to the surprise. Sort of like Giles in his "I'd like to test that theory" moment.


And Doomsday looks totally awesome. Suit in shadows due to budgetary concerns, CGI up close for awesomeness value.

Doomsday was pretty solid in those pictures. Cheap CGI or not, no one seems to have realized that we have just glimpsed the first ever live action Doomsday!!!

well i dont think clark will kill doomsday being that clark doesnt kill. he will probably have to somehow throw him deep into space or bury him deep beneath the earth or somethin, jus a way to keep him from doin any harm to anybody. and do u remember in the previews for next wk clark tried to punch him and it didnt even phase him, doomsday jus grabbed his hand and stopped the punch very easily. so im sure clark wont be able to kill doomsday alone. in the comics they killed each other at the same time.

You have to remember that we will probably not see Doomsday in his full form on this show, but only in early stages. You can't have a young Clarke face Doomsday in his final form. Clarke would not have a chance without his training.
