That was actually progressive...and its simply something I've waited for since season 5! I'm loving this season. And next week! Doomsday! This is amazing! The episode was a 9.3 for me.

I wish I hadn't opened this thread. I didn't know "next week Doomsday." :(

But I agree, this season is amazing. "Father," wow, that's just wow...

Otherwise, though, I hated the very end. Clark has rebuilt the Fortress only to have it corrupted.

^ it was in the preview...why didnt you stick by? they actually showed him! in all his gruesome glory!

i love the end of the episode. Brainiac's return will be utilized at the end of the season with the fortress currupted, brainiac will use the fortress to see teh rise of doomsday...and the end of Kal-el! That is epic!

I actually saluted ClarkMan when he told Jor-El he knew now about saving people other than friends and family, he is stepping up to the plate.

If this is the last feeling, just from this episode I can see Clark suiting up at the end.

Plus Doomsday looks awesome in the trailer, it;'s like the first real alien monster ever on Smallville, phantoms don't count.

lol no phantoms dont count at all. tehy didnt take any kind of form outside of either being ghosts or humans. this is awesome because we will see the people behimd the show actually put some money to work with cgi. I'm glad Clark stepped up in this outing..it felt....right in some way. It felt like it was the perfect timing and not rushed. I'm glad they stopped making jor-el into a bastard too. Who else agrees with that? it was like they way they made Jor-el before it made Clark further away from who he was meant to be. now it seems jor-el is actually helping clark and clark is on the same playing field as jor-el.

jor-el was only being a "bastard" becuz he was dealing with "human learned emotions" almost childlike in a way compared to what jor-el is expecting from his son. clark finally acted like a "true kryptonian" so he got treated like one... with respect and gratitude. this is prly the most mature thing he's done the entire series. and now he knows about the reason he was sent here... so he can start really training for "doomsday" literally. he now has an idea what his destiny and that he is the only one that can stop the "kryptonian creation" the killing machine. his choice tonite was to become that kind of man... superman... woo lol

i agree with that. what made this an episode o be proud of was the fact that Clark stopped thinking with emotion and more with logic. Sometimes small sacrificed have to be made to serve a larger cause. thats what happened tonight.

Clark has always and i mean always thought about the people that were in his life. Thats expected because as people we know we only tend to want to be there for only the people that we are around and sometimes make it seem as though others dont matter. Clark made a decision to let Chloe go and rid her of his secret for good because it wouldnt just endanger her but others in the future. he had to give up his best friend for the world. wasn't easy but it was necessary. it was one of the most iconic choices in the history of this show. very proud of the Clark Kent character tonight!
