Its once again another storyline/ plot point that comes out of no where. they said its ben going on for a while but why not just show us through a certain number of episodes instead of once again making things randomly happen? It'd add to the tension of the story and plot of Chloe and the Brain Interactive Construct inside her.

She has had some memory lapses in earlier episodes this season. They were about small things though, and the show didn't make a big deal about them.

Yeah. One of the earlier episodes, had her commenting that she could have sworn she had closed doors to the computer room at Isis, when they were in fact opened. There were little things like that, but they were very nuanced in.

they gave enough clues braniac was infecting her. brainiac didn't just refer to memory loss, it just suddenly happened.

I'm gonna be really sad if she forgets Shelby.

In committed, when Clark went to the Talon asking what the kidnapper said, Chloe was having difficulties to remember. I'm not sure, but I think it was Jimmy the one who mentioned the 'solidifying the bond' thing. At the moment I thought it was strange that Chloe, the supercomputer, couldn't remember the jeweler's exact words, but I attributed it to the stress of the electrocution she suffered at the time. I guess they were already hinting the memory loss back then.
Also, if you pay attention at the opening scene in committed, when Lois says 'I don't see it' (referring to the love that Chloe was supposed to feel) when camera shows Chloe, she seems a little lost, looking around as if uncomfortable of what was going on, not deliriously happy as she should have been with her engagement party. I also 'didn't see the love' there, like Lois stated, but never attributed it to the Brainiac infection. Really subtle acting and insertion of the issue.

Offscreenville that's all you have to say.

Ok, I watched the episode again.
Chloe says: The more I concentrate on someone, the faster the memories are taken, or something like that.
Under that reasoning, wouldn't she be thinking of Jimmy more than Clark, hence the reason her memories of him are taken sooner?

I don't understand what you are asking. She did forget Jimmy before she forgot Clark because she thought of Jimmy more because they are planning a wedding and living together.

I felt so bad for jimmy when she said she only remembered Clark. but he handled it well...he knows how close they are. I actually like jimmy more since identity but i'm still not completely on board with chimmy...i'm not feeling the love
