I apologize if this topic has already been posted, if so will mod please correct it. I was thinking the other night about the scene in bloodline, where Chloe's eyes turn white, and she pushes Oliver into the next room. I know everybody thinks that it was brainiac, and the storyline says it was. However,it was jor-el. if you look at hidden when the doctors trying to bring Clark back to life. Lionel's (who was jor-el vessel at the time) eyes were white, when he opened them. If you look in Arctic and Veritas, when brainiac infected someone their eyes were clear and normal looking. So, this supports my conclusion that jor-el use Chloe as a temporary vessel to save Clark from the zone. This theory also explains why Chloe was able to push Oliver into next room (she inherited brainiacs knowledge. Not his kryptonian abilities), and the fact that her nose was bleeding. I think jor-el and brainiac were battling over who was going to control Chloe and this caused her to bleed. Your thoughts?

That's a very good deduction. It's probable and not so far fetched. Chloe has been to the Fortress many times, she has spoken to Jor-el (even if it was a one sided conversation) and she has been Clark's secret keeper for the longest time. It is possible that once Chloe activated the Crystal, using Brainiac's abilities, Jor-el's AI took control of the Crystal and used Chloe as a vessel. Since Jor-el's AI is part of the Fortress, and since all that info is stored within this crystal, it's very much possible.

Also Jor-el was a smart man so he had a lot of restrictions in place as to who can access the Fortress/Crystal (after the fortress was destroyed). As we saw, Jor-el took away Clark's powers when Lex was going to control him, that was a restriction (clause). So, even if Brainiac did hack into the crystal (using Chloe), I doubt he got full control of it, hence the minor reprogramming to send Clark into the PZ.

Plus the white eyes were a dead giveaway, but I just realized it now. I guess I got caught up in all the Brainiac/Chloe commotion as well.

I never thought about it being Jor-El in Chloe, I just figured it was Brainiac since he messed with her last season. But know I'm thinking it might have been the work of Jor-El in Chloe because why would Brainiac want to get Clark out of the Phantom Zone??

Good catch! You ae right, Jor-El did cause Lionel's eyes to become white.

It could be Jor-El.

Hmmm...Jor-El? That would be a twist that many of us fans wouldn't bet on because we are so amped it's Brainiac. But why not Jor-El? he's been using people close to Clark as a vessel for awhile now. MAybe at one of his trips to the FOS Brainiac got infected with Jor-El and then passed it on to Chloe?

I must give Kudos to you. This is going to spark a whole lot of new theories, if more people read this thread. But they keep telling us that Braniac did something with Chloe and in the spoilers it says that Braniac is taking over and by Legion will completely take over Chloe. So I don't really know what to think. It would be cool if they brought in that twist or work it out somehow.

Interesting theory! I like it quite a bit. Like what as already been said, they are blatantly telling us that it's Brainiac, but the whole white eyes and superstrength does point to Jor-El. However, I'm also going to say that Brainiac is inside of her and also attempting to control her, and so as mrw66855 said, Jor-El and Brainiac are battling over her. But still, by what we know about Abyss, why would Jor-El erase or let her memories be erased? Wouldn't they be useful to him if she is his vessel. While Jor-El being in her would be cooler and an awesome twist, we're going to have to wait and see how it pans out. I hate waiting.

Heh...I don't know if the writers are that smart.

(No, I take that back; Season Eight is actually really amazing compared to Seven.)

I never thought of that; I'd thought the nosebleeding was simply Chloiac straining herself. The eyes, though...that's interesting.

Edit: There's no doubt Brainiac is inside Chloe (Jor-El probably wouldn't have gone so far as to kill Sebastian [even if it doesn't make sense Brainiac would, either]). <--Actually, given that Brainiac hasn't held a press conference exposing Clark in person (on the show or in the comics), it's likely Brainiac isn't out to expose Clark. As for protecting his secret, I don't know. But it was Brainiac in "Identity," not Jor-El; I like the "battling over her body" idea.

I still think brainiac is inside Chloe and he is using her. I just made the observation that in that one scene it was jor-el using Chloe to get Clark out of the Phantom zone, instead of brainiac. However, I am loving the idea is of a new vessel for jor-el . depending on what happens in the next episode (which I think I really know what is going to happen involving Chloe and her memories) may be Chloe will be jor-el vessel. Interesting theories. It might surprise people to know that this is my first topic I started.

The very well could be battling over her body. The theory is great with one exception - that Chloe inherited Brainiac's intelligence and not his abilities. Since Brainiac seems to be able to gain new abilities (I don't remember him flying in S5, for example), it's very possible that Chloe does have those abilities. Also, if it's only his intelligence, how could Chloe overload Sebastian's brain at the end of the episode?

I'm not sure if I'm ready to totally buy into this idea yet, but I'm open to it, it could make for an interesting arc. And it would definitely make a lot of sense. Nice theory.
