What a great comic book reference, that ties into current superman continuity. Long time comics fans know the significance of this reference, and the direction the writers can go, if they choose. Seeing that brainiac is totaly different in smallville compared to the comics, it would be very interesting how they would handle it.
Can someone explain Kandor to me... in lamens terms

Well he is different but kind of similar. If you read the current action comics the Brainiac that appear in the comic was a drone and they true brainiac never left his ship. that is where Kandor suppose to be

Brainiac (in comics) has the tech that can shrink matter. Brainiac stole Kandor from Krypton, ripped it clean from the ground. Stuck it in a bottle. Superman restored it now. The end.

If they decided to go that route, where smallville's brainiac is just a precursor, to the 'real brainiac', the budget could be enourmous. If they hire the fx crew of bsg(sci-fi's battelstar galactica to the uninformed) for that ep, and clark has mastered flight, season 9 ep possiblility?

I liked it too. If there is a S9, I hope they bring Kara back for a bit and do a story on this.

i found it particularly appropriate that we should talk about Kandor considering what's happening in Superman comics right now!
When Kara said that I let a pleased little sigh. Gotta admit the new show runners are doing a much better job on continuity than AlandMiles ever did.
