Uh Oh..bit of a mistake? Lois and the S symbol

Lois clearly sees the S symbol in the PZ when kara lets her out, she sees it light up.

So when she sees this on Superman's chest in the future, isnt she going to put two and two together?

She's going to know that the S symbol is liinked in with Kara and Clark. Even if it was "just a dream" a very intense and vivid dream I might add.

yes but when Clark wears it as superman later, she's going to know she's seen it before, she may not link it to clark but she may realize that Superman is an alien.

might be a possible set up for later eposides when clark is wearing a sort of prototype to the suit with an S. They drove it into our heads that lois strongly believed they were abducted by aliens, 3 times to be exact..IMO she'll link that sign in with aliens the second she sees the costume (if theres a S on it)

I didn't even notice that. But in her mind it was all a dream, plus she was freaking out (understandably) about leaving the PZ and Clark getting attacked and all. So her mind was also somewhere else.. Still she might recognize it- if Clark ever dons the cape that is. Will that happen on SV though? Sadly, no...

Well, it all happens quite quickly so she might have forgotten it (which would be convenient, wouldn't it?). But I think you might be right, DontCha, maybe when she spots Superman's crest she knows she's seen it before but can't remember where? Or if she does remember then that'll give her the motivation to expose who or what this Superman is.

he also wears a massive huge S on his chest, as well as the cape. he doesnt have to be wearing a cape in order for her to see it. All he has to do is wear a suit like ollivers with the S on it and she'll think this new superhero is an Alien life form and not a meteor freak.

Sorry, my mind is fuzzy, what episode did Lois dream of someone in a red cape? I can't remember that happening (but I did miss a few episodes here and there).

They made sure the audience noticed Lois thought they were abducted by Aliens, because she says it in every single scene there. they made sure she saw this S symbol, she gives it a good look before leaving. they also didnt mindwipe Lois when they easily could have.

If clark wears a suit like ollivers and dons the S symbol then Lois as a reporter spots this and calls this superhero an ALIEN It would make their whole 6 minute trip around the phantom zone and Lois' constant "we've been abducted" actually relevent to the overall plot of the season. It would also make all the Kara "S thing means your close to my heart" and pride in the symbol relevent to the polt too if it pops up later in the season IMO

yes, no cape, no tightts but the S isnt just on the cape, Its on his chest too. Theres no rule against that.

the FLASH in Smallville wears his lightning bolt symbol on a prototype suit, so why wouldnt clark wear an early version of his S symbol on his prototype suit? He's had it on the show in the past on his chest, so there is no rule against the S symbol making an appearence on clark's body. Unlike the tights and the cape.

Honestly, they've brought this S thing into the open in Bloodline so it will most likely show up again on clark. Because he takes a good long look at that S, and Kara gives it strong personal meaning to him as the episode ends.

I think that the way Smallville is going that they will have Lois find out about Clark's secret and then he morphs from Clark Kent to Superman. So they're doing it a little reversed and in their own style. At least, that's how it seems to me.

Lois did get a good look at the S and she will link it if she sees it again at some point. Even if she thinks that the whole thing was alien abduction, she will still remember the symbol, which hopefully she doesn't think that Clark abducted her back then lol....

I agree that Smallville is doing things their own way. It seems that Lois will be following the story of the Good Samartian instead of Superman. This seems to be TPTB's way of letting us see the classic version of Lois hunting for the hero when he's right under her nose trying to hide it.

And, that she'll probably know Clark's secret before the show finishes. She'll already know who Superman is before Clarks dons the cape and symbol. The conversation between Clark and Kara was a huge hint towards Lois finding out.

I really really really hope they don't do that. I don't think they will, either. I think this is it, this is the real start of Lois finding out, I don't think they need to restart her memory. It'd be such a cop out if they erased Lois's memory.

highly doubt that, because it would mean a huge waste of money and screentime if everything we saw on screen with Lois Lane and Clark for 4 seasons (especially the 8th) means nothing to the greater plot.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. I think this would almost spoil it a bit. I want to see that iconic relationship- that love triangle of Clark, Superman, and Lois. Lois falls in lust with Superman, goes on about him all the time to Clark, which makes Clark jealous of himself...its such a great dynamic. However, I think if Lois does know his secret before he becomes Superman it'll be because Lois figures it out for herself. She's not stupid, and there have been some gigantic clues.

I don't think it is going to make any difference because I expect Clark to tell Lois the truth before the end of the season.

I think the significance of Lois seeing the S is that while yes it's alien, more importantly it saved her and in the future Lois will have that association in her head.

When Lois sees Superman's 'S' on his costume for the first time, she'll know that the PZ wasn't a dream or an hallucatination, won't she? Then, she'll have to confront Clark and get him to tell her the truth about what happened. But I think we are reading into it a bit more than we were meant to. I'm sure the writers didn't even really think about Lois seeing the S.

I do agree that Lois will link the S to Superman and know that Superman is an alien. I feel this way because he makes it fully known that he is one after making his first appearance. At least in the comics and the movies he does.
